I use the TerraClean tool and products to clean the entire system in about 1.5 hours. I do not have to remove the valve, I hook in at the temp sensor, remove the egr actuator, and replace it with a thumb screw plate so I can open and close the valve. The system cleans the intake, grid heater and the combustion chamber,egr, egr cooler, turbo, and dpf. Basically everything "tip to tailpipe" Excellent video however, the TerraClean system has been life changing.

They needs cleaned every 150k the differential port as well. Thats from Cummins, but on the class 4-8 they don’t recommend at that interval. Do it anyway and it will prevent this.

do you have to perform a relearn on the new dps? I have had dealings with these on Detroit DD15's that require a relearn sequence. I dont know if the ISB's are the same procedure or not.

I think it's worth noting what point in the snap-throttle scope pattern is worth examining. I've only been playing with scopes for about 2 years now, but I would think if we examined the tail end of the pattern, we would see lean firing regardless because of fuel cut-off. Is that what was going on @ 3:53?

Well it seems a common problem with the 2006 Durango 4.7. The windshield Cowl and its seals is the problem here, so the rain water floods the engine valley and the water gets in the engine through that broken by the rust deep stick tube and that's what happened so I drained about a gallon and a half of rain water from engine oil plug and the rear main seal got busted because Ohio's cold winter froze the water which became ice inside the engine which expanded and busted the seal.

working on a ISC at the moment and 1 port is completely blocked, I pulled cleanout plug and have used wire and carb cleaner and brake cleaner. I still cannot get any air flow through the port, any recommendations? Thanks

Yes yes yes If you are watching this video and reading this comment. This is an extremely common issue on the ISL and ISB engines. Usually the faults are for Intake Manifold Pressure, EGR system/valve (abnormal rate of change), regen too frequent, and aftertreatment related codes... ALWAYS start here. Personally I always remove the EGR Valve, crossover tube, differential preasure sensor aka delta sensor, "air mixer" or the intake where the throttle plate is and the EGR valve bolts to. They are always heavily soot caked. Clean all that old soot out until none is left. Also look for the little allen plug or plugs on the air mixer, sometimes there are more than one. Remove the plug. Clean in here as well. Reinstall everything. Your engine is now breathing again and is also sensing correct pressures because your sensing ports are no longer clogged.

Nice video! I liked when you showed the pistons moving freely. I'm working on my 57 corvette. Stiff pedal (no play) after installing new shoes and hoses, cleaning, honing and rebuilding all 4 wheel cylinders and master cylinder. My rear wheels locked up after a few miles drive, a parade. I put 2 new Dorman rear cylinders on, and again same issue. Also, the Dorman cylinders sucked! they leaked. I just cleaned and honed my old (EIS) wheel cylinders. They are going back on along with a new master cylinder. Hoping that solves my brake issues.

These engines are really quite good but the heads warp easy one overheat warped mine had to be machined. Also the valve seats tend to drop if you ever have your heads off best to take em to a machinist and have the valve seats replaced from the powdered ones to steel and other than those falling in the cylinder the valve guides can move i have a permanent knock in my passenger head from the valve guide slipping and now the valve taps the guide at all time. No performance issue just annoying sound put new rod bearings and mains in but to be honest they barely had any wear at 200000 plus miles amazing!
