One the best live Big Ship recordings I've seen, there's something so lovely jubely about having more people on stage to jump around and lose their minds.

The last 3 or so minutes of this song are the most beautiful, inspiring, jump up and down able 3 minutes of any song in the history of music. I love this song. Always have and always will.

Yes - 1967 is the name of the song (not the date of the performance)

Wow, thanks for posting! I was at this gig. It was just after my last exam in my final year at Leeds University, the pressure had lifted off my shoulders, the weather was warm and dry, and I had a long summer to look forward to before starting my professional career. It was the best gig I went to in my time at Leeds, and when the girls joined in on stage it was even more brilliant!

Omg I am so JEALOUS! I wish I would have been able to see them live. Did they close the show with this? I can't tell from this video because it starts off with the ABC jingle, like it was the beginning of the show, but this seems like a perfect closer. This or Dirty boy. Which in 95' would have been brand new I think

Cardiacs and the Sidis onstage at the same time! What a meeting of minds! How I wish I could have been there. This brought a tiny little tear to my eye.

Dear rolling rock videos, glad you like what you heard and saw. I've dipped in and out of cardiacs for many years. If you want to look back at careers of overlooked wonderful British bands who deserve more exposure , not for monetary gain, but for the music, ( you know, the stuff that matters ) here you are. Cardiacs were pretty much against everything going for them. They could play anything in time if they wanted but that wasn't their rhythm. They didn't crave commercial success and boy they didn't find it. But holy moley did they produce song after song and album after album of classic off beat gems . In time they will be recognised for their irreverent, classic nonsensical tunes. Tim Smith was a wonderful songwriter and his band backed him all the way. Investigate them and enjoy the ride. It will be time very well spent.

Hello there. I am editing together a short film about the Mekonville festival that took place in summer 2017. Is it Ok if I use a small amount of this clip to show the run up to this event ?. Many thanks
@birsthirst18096 жыл бұрын
Hi Frederick - sorry for late reply, but I've only just seen your comment. It's probably a bit late now, but anyway, yes, it's fine to use this clip. I'd be interested in seeing your Mekonville film as well!

Massively underrated. The singer and guitarist went onto better things, but the bassist is still underachieving. :)

I was there on crutches on the other side of the stage. In fact that's my head that looms large during the intro of Fear. Great to see this, I think this was their first "reformed" gig.
