Just found out You were the sound programmer for this synth. Subscribed!

Was looking for laser harp sound tutorials and this came up. Also, I just saw that Behringer is going to replicate the Synthex and was wondering, are you involved as a sound designer in this? If not, it would be a shame really, because if they nail every other aspect of the Synthex, it would've been nice to have some new (and old) preset patches by you. It would be a full circle..

Sadly, Uli Behringer prefers to work against the rest of the industry instead of with it and rarely communicates with those involved with the original synths. Cherry Audio reached out to me on their ELKA-X virtual version but I have only heard third party relays about the Behringer announcements. I'll keep my ears open but as Behringer seem to mainly sell direct it seems unlikely that I will even get a chance to check it. It was only when a friend of mine bought the Black Corporation Xerxes that I had access to that for the same reason (that was what I used on this video but now mainly use the Cherry Red Audio on my Mac).

Unassuming blistering keys man. With Gary O'Tool on drums they are the meat in stage performances. Truly worthy of inclusion in what must be one of the most exciting and satisfying line ups of all time.

Ah I was wondering what the lower keyboard was in Roger's rig. I understand there's a Roland Fantom and a couple of Novation Impulses as well.

Isn’t it wonderful that the Genesis Family don’t gripe and litigate over this stuff being performed and celebrated no matter which one of them it is? So refreshing.

In LA a few years ago Roger gaffed the intro, just smiled and continued. This is what a true artist does. Takes the risk and gives the very thankful fans what they want. Unlike Tony who has refused to play the intro for fear of making a mistake and bruising his fragile ego. Roger is a legend!

Now that Genesis have officially called it a day, how awesome would it be for Tony to make an appearance on a Steve Hackett show?

This is Tony's finest composition. It's also Steve's finest solo. Steve is so fortunate to have been able to enlist Roger in this endeavor. Sometimes, the stars align a second time.

I've seen Steve Hackett dozens of times since I first saw him at Hammersmith circa 1980, and have seen a variety of hugely-talented session artists feature in his five decades of solo shows. I do however think that though incredibly talented Roger King is, his prominent Fck Brxt sticker on his audience-facing keyboard over the last few years is pretty poor and unprofessional, given any UK audience will be made up of both stances and the last thing any of us fans wants is to be reminded of this civil strife whilst enjoying the wonderful music of Steve and his band; or that those whom did vote Leave, feel they are not equally welcome. Very disappointing. The guy needs to grow up.

I just miss seeing Tony Banks and Hackett and Peter all together. This is just Hackett leading a cover band.
@pumpkinking51742 жыл бұрын
This is Steve's band..... meaning they play Steve's music....all of it, Genesis and solo work. Steve has every right to play Genesis stuff from the bands best era. The current Genesis and Peter largely ignore that period and Steve and his band are the only ones keeping the best of Genesis alive.
@maxmurphy55212 жыл бұрын
I agree but as George Harrison once wisely said, “All Things Must Pass”. That being said these guys are carrying on Genesis in a grand and wondrous way. I thank them for it
