When I saw Robert Carlysle as John Lennon in this film - I screamed in the cinema (as did many others) A world where John, Paul, George and Ringo never formed the Beatles will never make sense to me

Where can I stream this series

ugh so sad, it was such a cliche way to end their story. I get it if they have to writ off/ kill off a character when the actress is leaving etc, but in this case Nina Sosanya was still contracted for scenes, just makes it even sadder, Sally just had to ruin it.

I really hate it when they kill someone's character when we enjoy the show

Really enjoyed this series, but I have worked in a factory as a temp in St Leonards, and the staff couldn't afford to go out once a month!!! These lit seemed to be out 3 or 4 nights a week!!!,Great cast and stories, though.

@ blod141. This was aired back in the day when workers had more of a work hard play hard mindset but yes I often wondered how they afford to go out the way they do. A textile factory surely doesn't pay much more than above the national living wage.

"You see.....a world without The Beatles is a world that's infinitely worse." Made me tear up. Especially as it was delivered by such a fine actress.

I agree with the lady who said thank you for what you do. I have been watching Sarah’s work since her character Raquel Wolstenhulme pulled pints at the Rovers and I keep applauding as she builds depth, sincerity and a genuine connection to each character she brings to life on screen.

I've watched all of Happy Valley now numerous times. I can never get over the way Sarah inhabits Catherine. It's just....remarkable. Never a false moment, never a moment where I do not utterly believe she is Catherine. And it's such a complex character. Well, all of them are, really. And the entire cast is amazing. While I know the scary dark heartbreaking elements of the story are vital, of course, I would always sort of wait for the more intimate family scenes, the kitchen ones with Siobhan and Rhys Connah. I don't think the series can or should go on, but I really miss these people. People, meaning the characters, but they are more than characters, aren't they.

This Californian only found the wonderous, beautiful Nicola in 2014? I've caught up on everything but one production that she's been credited on. Brilliance & Humility are the two words that come to mind. I'm so glad that America finally "woke up" to "The Split", " River", " The Unforgotten" & "Annika". My earlier faves include Nicola's amazing, "episode stealing" funny meal in "Jonathon Creek"... & her, ... "entire season stealing of "Scott & Bailey", Ssn3'. Well, Lesley, (loved her since, "Priest"), & Suranne shld share this pedestal! Nicola took you into her character's pain so effortlessly. The saddest moment was that she was not able to do things as she had hoped to.For the obvious reason of satisfying the viewer, & the story. But moreso because I hv bn irked by the face, the piercing voice & the horrid performance/overall horrid presence of the "wee" little so-called "actress" who shld hv bn instead, pulling Nicola along in a rickshaw. This background player Nicola who can't seem to speak w/o her eyeglasses on. ( that is NOT a planned nuance of a "character). She embarrassingly thinks that she can portray "sexy & fun- loving",(yet we cringe while she tries). I'm talking abt. the" ball & chain" of ""S&B" since its debut. That debut should have also been her "farewell" episode. You can't tell me that her irritating me is because she is a fine actress meaning to be irritating. Nooo, she hasn't the talent to do a local PSA, and EVERYTHING THAT'S ANNOYING ABOUT HER IS INHERENT. Had only the writer's made her "eat crow" or be humiliated in every other episode? Yes, that little gnat needed to fly off a cliff or something similar? It would have been lovely in one of the Nicola episodes.😅. I ve watched every "Scott & Bailey"... loved the acting, the writing, the character developments, the simple realities of life that pop up, (Janet's family, & the wonderful actress who plays her mom). I WROTE TO LAUD & GIVE KUDOS TO NICOLA. SHE IS EXTRAORDINARY AND HER PERFORMANCES OF THE MANY VARIED CHARACTERS THAT'S SHE'S PLAYED TO DATE, ARE ALL MASTERCLASSES IN ACTING. BRAVA!
