Thank you so much for making this. I was able to remove my wiper switch and then push the pin in with a stiff wire and get the cyl out.

This is the most uniquely valuable video I've ever come across on KZbin. Despite these being pretty common vehicles, this is the only source I've found that actually describes how to remove the lock cylinder; nothing else is even close. No matter how many positive comments you get, they won't do you justice. Without this video I would never have discovered the way to remove my worn-out cylinder - you saved me an expensive trip to the dealer. The only tips I will add are that I needed to dismount the multifunction wiper switch first, and that an endoscope was useful to see down into the hole to get at the spring loaded button. Thanks so much for the video.

Not only saved me $500 at the dealership to replace a broken cylinder lock, but also the time saved by only needing to remove the column cover to access the release pin for the ignition cylinder lock since I knew exactly where it was thanks to you.

What size tamper proof torx is it?

Much appreciated - just managed to use the 90 degree version of that lock pick you showed (thanks Harbor Freight) to remove mine w/the assembly in place - not easy but would have been completely impossible without you showing the location of that release pin - big help!

Any chance you have the part number for that whole thing I am exactly in the same place as you, the pin busted and I have the same rounded bolts

Hi, Thank you for the video, while I was replacing the Ignition Switch part number 4685719AI I broke the metal pin, I put everything together without the broken piece, but I have no problem with the starting the car, I am intending to order the Ignition Switch actuator, it says Ignition Cylinder Housing 68054818AC. Does it come with the actuator inside? what was your experience?

Where did you get another ignition assembly? I am unable to get the cylinder out. I plan on just replacing the whole thing.
