Now we can't open the same large assembly in old 2012 version. The situation is such that we have 2012 installed on more computers and 2013 installed only in one computer. Please, let me know if there is any fix for such a scenario.

Will it work all the time with parasolid files if these parasolid files being created from newer version of solidworks part file (filename.SLDPRT), and not any other CAD software. 2. Will it work with large assembly file consisting of more than 1000 parts or do we have to do the above procedure for each individual file and assemble again in older version. (We have a problem where a person without knowledge opened large assembly in new version and saved it.

great! Now I must download a new version of solidworks to save my files as old versions so I can use them with the old version -.-

He has both versions on one computer.... BTW, this will only work when you have the newest version available to save in a neutral format.
