why all these video does not have just one product , is very expensive you must as well buying other from the market, Bleach and Detergent, why both?? and not just one ?? the others are the same, Vinegar, Detergent,etc there should be one product
@nanatheglamgardener23 күн бұрын
Hi Doris. Good question. The reason is that the three products work together to get the job done much better than one product. Plus getting the job done without hurting the environment by adding chemicals. However, this is a great question and I thank you for watching 😊

Thanks for posting this. Egg cartons do provide a source of carbon for composting, and retain moisture nicely, but they often contain additives including bleach and antimicrobial chemicals that impede composting. I've found that they decompose more slowly than leaves or cardboard. My AI confirms this.

It’s good to put the alcohol clear up to the top of the rim of the jar. Otherwise you have oxidation occurring from the air in the jar. And turmeric starts to oxidize very quickly, even as you’re cutting it up.

@nanatheglamgardener4 ай бұрын
Hi Pompey. You likely beat it a little too long and it started to separate. All is not lot though. Put it in the fridge and let it cool overnight. In the morning gently mix the “buttermilk “ into the cream “. or…. strain the buttermilk out and use the cream that’s left. No worries though… good for you for making it, and a great learning lesson for next time- mix it less👍. Great job Pompey!!! This is still useable and you’ll only get better with time 🥰

Great conversation Appalachian !!! No I just use cardboard and then stuff paper in there as well for easy lighting and it lasts so long - I love it - don’t have to hurry out of the beehives !!! But chips would be awesome too of course!!! Let me know if you try it and it works well I’m always up for new great ideas. We learn from each other right??!! 😊
@SimpleCarolinaHomestead5 ай бұрын
@@nanatheglamgardener my mentor (which happens to be my older brother), taught me how to light mine. I put some paper towels in the bottom and then cardboard on top. Light it up and add more cardboard and stuff it with chips last. I'm super slow at doing my hive chores, and it lasts me the full hour that it normally takes me to do it.

New subscriber here! I am a brand new beekkeeper and I just had a bear get into my hive and destroy the bottom brooder box. I found your channel searching about recovering from bear attacks. I dont now if I even have a queen in there anymore. Watching your video's for tips. Thanks for the content!
@nanatheglamgardener5 ай бұрын
@@SimpleCarolinaHomestead Hi Appalachian!! A bear attack is very scary when you’re a new beekeeper. I do know that bees will protect their Queen fiercely above all else. If you can find your Queen, your hive can recover… mine did and went on to thrive beautifully. The Queen is usually bigger with larger wings and typically moves faster than the other bees-but extremely hard to find!!! If you find her, great, if not look for the hive to be making Queen cells (looks like a small little “cavelike” structure. If not - you may have to introduce a new Queen. I know these beautiful little creatures are so very resilient Appalachian , and surprise me constantly with their survival skills. An electric fence is really your best protection- I’ve never had problems since I put ours up. Hope this helps you Appalacian - thank you for watching 😊
@SimpleCarolinaHomestead5 ай бұрын
@nanatheglamgardener thank you so much for your encouraging words and for the tips! Now I am hopeful that maybe my queen survived too. We set up an electric fence that same day. I am planning to check the hive in the next couple of days to see if there is any sign of a queen. I am so hopeful that maybe she survived. I might post that to my channel as well. Thanks again for your tips!
