I know she wrote this song about a man with a troubled past, but I know this song cuts deep for probably every guy out there. Every line speaks to a lot things I certainly deal with, and gives a voice to. And that means a ton. It’s one thing for a man to speak to it, but there’s something special about a woman recognizing it, too. Every time I hear this song, I think about how I wish every woman could have the character to recognize the hurt in their man and see how that hurt plays itself out. I think she validates a lot of men’s experiences with this song, and I hope other women can hear this and find a deeper way to connect with their man. I’m thankful she wrote and shared this song. What a talented songwriter, to be able to speak that deeply to a human experience.

Those are the right chords tho she just mutin strings so she doesn't need to use the full chords.

@@andersongomes3211 Those are definitely not the right chords. I don't know if she has actually written the song. Then perhaps she wrote it with the chords she plays here and finally some producer changed the chords for the release version to make it sound more pleasing and mainstreamy

@@thorstenengel5912 IF you watch from 1:30 where we can see her hand...this is exactly what she plays. It's Am, F major with the shape of F7M but she doesn't play the 7M she only plays the 2,3 and 4th strings to keep the sound of F major. Normal C and a G where she doesn't play the 1 string. So it is AM/F/C/G.
