This was fun to play with but I feel like the whole point of this gun was to use up spare axe parts, freak inserts and apex barrels that nobody was buying lol.

Looks like the smoke screen worked. So let’s chop the front and call it the elite. Is there any other difference? I’m pretty sure everything else is the exact same. They could’ve just released the new body for $200 🤭

Got the original and still use it with a backpack feed system (maxxloader). 1000's upon 1000's of paintballs through it, and it is still rocking like beast. Best scenario game level LMG there is. I dont use the Apex.

I actually had the original and let’s be real, it was trash relative to what we have now. And this just made it smaller didn’t mix any real issues. Ball breaks were a nightmare to clean, and the pressurizing issues were abundant. Oh you need new parts? That’s never going to be a thing except for some axe parts. Oh that apex barrel? Some paint doesn’t clear the lip properly and breaks lol. That battery pack it takes is proprietary and empire doesn’t have spares, ANS does but limited lol. Over all, yeah it’s smaller and slightly cheaper but you’ll still have nightmares taking it apart to clean on and outside of the field lol.

He's right, the Geo 3s are still all over the place fetching good money for being so old! I don't know if I'll ever buy a Geo 5 for awhile if at all but it's interesting. I just wish we had some custom cuts or something to make it look a little better though I'm sure HK or someone will have a custom one soon enough.

I feel exactly the same way. I emailed HK today and they said they are not doing an R5. I think the fossil CS3 looks amazing but I can't do that poppy shot. I love my Geo 4 so I guess I'm going with one of these or the Infamous R5

Late to the game but deciding on a marker and just practicing shooting it and knowing where and how it hits is very important to accuracy.

It kinda looks like with the apex on fully that the paint is shooting flat but also a few degrees down-? Trick of the camera?

it does, the backspin causes it to dip and flatten out.

@@ariz4888 I guess it depends on what shot you're looking for. I have not one thing bad to say about the R5. I have been shooting mine for about two weeks now, a teammate has a CS3. The R5 is obviously the soft shot, very nice IMO. But when I shoot the CS3, I feel like that poppy shot just emits beams of paint with no drop. I think just try and shoot an R5 before losing the CS3.

This video popped up so random. Wow how the technology has come in paintball. I remember back in the day rocking an Angel, Autococker, Automags, and Shocker series. Even tipman 98, and spider were great.

98s, spiders, shockers, Autocockers, and even rarely angels still see the field to this day, most of these range in the recreational ball range, my field alone when a new marker called the emek came out, replaced their 98s and the owner basically handed them out to new players to get into the sport!

Great microphone. Sounds so quiet and squishy. I can’t believe eclipse made this I thought we were lost in that horrible sounding gamma core for ever😅😅
