For all of those who still doubt & can't still explain the end, this is the conclusion I came up with: Once Prophet got contaminated with the Ceph's Alien Virus, Prophets immune system got corrupted & could not longer conclude the mission he was called to accomplished because in order to wear the Nano Suit to become a Post Human Warrior, the warrior's body & mind needs to be in shape so the Nano suit can deliver its max. Once Prophet becomes aware of this, he decides to break his body link to the suit by killing himself, right after dressing Alcatraz with the Nano suit. What the Nano suit did was not to become a Post Human itself as many gamers out there mistakenly believe. It did not kill Alcatraz or even vanished him as a few others believed. All the Nano suit did was simply to clone three different elements which are: Prophet's strength, Prophet's mind & Prophet's molecular structure, transforming "Alcatraz into Prophet", bringing Prophet back & even inheriting Alcatraz body, mind & strength. Just as prophets consciousness says in the ending: Hargreave was right. The Nano suit changes all the rules. Impressive storyline & concept. I have not doubt if Crynet make at least two, or three more titles like this continuing the sequel "which I doubt it", will probably even come out with their own movie.

its because the voice actor read the script wrong. he's supposed to say "nothing you need to worry about" to the scientist asking "what is he doing in there" and then speak to Gordon saying "Gordon, go ahead."

this is a better way to be immortal than all the religious myths put together, where you end up in places where you dont even need to do anything and there is no progression. immortality only really works in a dynamic reality like the current one because you can do things with it :)

I just wish decent video game franchises to movie adaptations are given to revered directors and production team who make Great films, and not the awful trash we have seen lately. Comic books movies have had their time so I think it is time for the video games to take the spot . I hope that one day, Crysis is passed unto the team behind Oblivion or Edge of Tomorrow.

The atmosphere of the end of the game (the whole game, actually) is really amazing. Sadly though, story-wise, the next game sort of undid how this one ended... I still don't understand it. Not the Ceph part, but the entire CELL and government arc

Crysis 1 was epic, it made a little revolution on fps games. Crysis 3 is visually a masterpiece, that even today after 10 years is still a benchmark. But Crysis 2 ... omg, WHAT AN AMAZING STORY AND SUCH A CINEMATIC GAME.

Referring to himself as prophet was odd to me at first when i finished the game, then did some wiki reading and found out that there is a book or something where prophet and Alcatraz had a mental struggle on who keeps control, in the end they talked it over and agreed to prophet taking control, Alcatraz final words being ,,They used to call me Alcatraz, remember me” same as prophets ,,final” words in the intro of the game
