I would tape the patterned paper and inside lining in place on the card base, cut the bigger circles out of all three at the same time, and then glue them together.

Hi Jane, have tried that in the past and all the layers are a little too thick to get a good cut, thanks for the thought though

You are so very welcome. I am sure there are more elegant ways to make this card, it was my first time as well I see my lives and videos as voyages of exploration, so there will always be a chance of needing a do over and I want to share that as well. Good luck with your next try. 😊

Thank you so much. Two years ago I tried making a spinner card, but it did not spin as required. I tried repeatedly in vain. So I gave up making it. Now your step by step procedure shows how we can overcome mistakes in our card making. I wanna try again. Thank you again, have a nice day!

Nice to see a demonstration... so many tik toks out there that are so quick you can't really tell how they did it. These turned out very pretty! Also, some scrape the wax off the metal while it's still liquid so that the wax stays just in the design or words, then restamp a different contrasting color. The words/design come out and embed on the bottom layer. I want to try that too.
@CindysCardCraftingCorner19 күн бұрын
Glad you liked it!! I want to try that method as well - I will do a video on that one as well :-)

I really don't think the ATC cards I make, using mostly magazines clippings, are worthy of trading, but i would love to swap a card with you. I have the advantage of seeing your work, so I pretty much know what kind of little gems to expect. What you would receive from me would be sight unseen. Seems unfair. But if you're willing, let's trade a card!

Thank you for sharing this card fold. I will be trying this. For cleaning my scissors or anything that gets glue on it, even my self healing desk pad; I use 91% alcohol; as I don't care for the residue or smell of goo gone.

How do you sharpen your blade on your trimmer.
@CindysCardCraftingCorner19 күн бұрын
Good question, the trouble I was having with the trimmer on this video turned out to be 'paper fluff' that had gathered in the cutting groove, once I cleaned it out the blade worked perfectly. As for sharpening the blade, I might gently use an emery board but mainly have to just discard the blade and replace it with a new one.

My suggestion for a journal page would be using fabric instead of paper. Can you show us how you would tackle that suggestion?

I have a mental block when it comes to creating such a "Journal" because if I gifted one to someone, they might not like the shabby, unfinished look. We need to know that the person, young or old, will appreciate the time it takes to produce the handmade "Gift"of Love❤. Mmmm🤔 🌹🌹☕📚📗🔖🏷️📑🎨🖌️🕹️

Yes we do - but I don't think every junk journal needs to be 'shabby' I think you could easily make one with 'nice clean edges' using undyed paper etc................. maybe I need to set myself a challenge to do just that!!! Thanks again for taking the time to comment - it is appreciated
