Yep it was the ultimate 'Pro' spec 20 years ago. Today even with upgrades its just a 'simple' fun car now. How things change!

Do you have offset rack spacers or the rack relocated? I have the same knuckles but still stock steering locks on the lca's. Wonder if it would bind when i cut those off
@markrohara Жыл бұрын
I have relocated the rack by around 20mm. Binding also depends on castor settings and length of the LCA. Mine are extended 25mm and I run low castor which both help keep the ball joints from going over centre. You could always measure it or use a string line to see how close to a straight line the inner tie rod -> knuckle pickup -> lca ball joint is

This one had open diff, but I do believe some models came with a vlsd

How much did it help with blowby? Currently running 26psi on my sr and i was getting a lot of it. Hoping doing this will help.
@markrohara2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I haven't driven it properly yet so can't comment. I was running about 21 psi with no catch can . A decent amount of oil would always line the intake piping, and puffs on gearshift. It will be a bit hard to measure but also just hoping for an improvement

Hey, what song is this?
@markrohara6 жыл бұрын
Cody Berkahn The first song was Rust by NADIR (a local band from Nelson NZ in the 90s) . Then Silverchair cover of Wasted. And then a song called Scud from the original Need for speed game
@codsta1446 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, that rust one is so amazing kinda sounds similar to Eddie Vedder's voice but a little harder. I cant seem to find a link anywhere to listen to the full thing do you have a link to it?
@markrohara6 жыл бұрын
Cody Berkahn I only have a badly scratched CD of them from when I was a teenager. They were like a highschool band that recorded an album but I think it was only found locally. Its a great sound eh! I haven't found anything online of theirs.

Hello, I am Italian and I also own this bike, you know where can I find spare parts?
@markrohara7 жыл бұрын
Hi there. I found usual maintenace parts like wheel bearings and oil filters were still available from Suzuki dealers. Other Reproduction and second hand parts are quite often found on places like ebay.com or through Suzuki GS forums

Awesome runs, looked like some fun stages. - how did you go for the competition?
@markrohara8 жыл бұрын
Car went good around the cones !If I didn't slide the car too much it was actually quite close to the times by the lightweight mini's and lotus7/Fraser cars. The second course Iin this clip I was just playing around and it was quite a lot slower
@dfehring8 жыл бұрын
the minis just corner so bloody tight. Your runs were good to watch. I'd love to get a 180 as a dedicated track car. Have you done much to it?
@markrohara8 жыл бұрын
Thanks This car is not modified like most 'pro level competition' drift cars, but it still has a full rollcage, a built SR20, Z32 gearbox, and all the usual drift suspension parts. It has been used as a drift/circuit car for about 13years, and ive owned it for 9 years, so its been gone over a few times over the years.

Hello, I am assuming the bike is long gone since the date it has been posted. I had a question concerning the headers on your bike. I have a 1980 GS250T (U.S specific) and I have been told it is the same motor. Are the headers on the bike stock? I've looked high and low and cannot seem to find a 2 into 1 system like this.
@markrohara9 жыл бұрын
+Cole Huffman Hi there. Yes the bike sold a week after I uploaded the video. Sorry I cant help you with the headers. They were on the bike when I bought it, I had presumed they were modified factory headers made to exit on the right side. The bike had a terrible high rise sport bike muffler when I bought it, which I replaced with the more suitable low silencer as you can see in the video. Good luck!

@mathellman309911 жыл бұрын
you young larrikans need to sharpen up, watching this as in motorsport is like listening to music which makes toilet sounds. so called drifting is dangerous and bad for the car tyres.
