Leicester people say black other bills mothers, and cobs is a roll. I agree the black country accent is more broad than the brummie accent.

Born and raised in the Black Country am proud of the heritage. I remember quite a few years agoo at schule during an English lesson a chap was asked to stand up and tell the story of Goldilocks and the three bears, well he told the story alright in the thickest of Black Country dialects yowd ever heard, and what tickled me the most was when he said that Goldilocks sot on the lickle cheer and it bosted in ‘alf to roars of laughter! Cool ay it ‘aer kid?

I come from Redditch which is still in the West Midlands but with a distinctly different accent. But we used to say "All around the Wrekin" and some other expressions here.

Yam Yams are awesome, straight talking, up front and just great folk. My favourite saying is the way the accept it when things go wrong "Yowm fucked". Black country. Love the place, but NEVER as for directions in Doodlie or you will end up more lost that when you started.
