Parker Valby is the most talented runner and easily wins another 5000m conference championship. Parker is better than everyone. Parker has developed a dominant running style that makes her the best in the world. She has mental toughness and the intelligence to win more championships.

You know, you want to respect the commentators and commend the job they are doing, especially when they say good things about and bring attention to, all the officials and people who make these events happen, that's absolutely 100% correct and those people deserve recognition. But, then that same commentator, in the space of less than 2 minutes gets Parker Valby's name backward twice while telling people to look her up, AND is about 3/4 of a lap late chiming in on the lead pack of 6 getting cut down to 4, because they are talking about something they could easily get back to after the move has been recognized and the race hits a rhythm again with not much going on. I'm not saying don't talk about May the 4th or about Kebba Tolbert. Just recognize your spots. If something is happening in the race, interrupt your thought and go back to it later.

It was a nicely presented tight race. The commentators might have been a bit excited as well - I do not see anything wrong with this. I remember years ago I was running a cross country race (about 8K) and at the 100 yards mark to the finish line I was still behind about 8 yards. Guess what - with the excitement from the race commentator and my own I was able to close the gap and win - I wouldn't have it any other way..
