It may not be the best choice unless where structurally recommended, because we use sandcrete blocks which are weighty and may require some foundation depth to be stable rather than seasoned wood used in the western world, which are lighter…

Hi thank you for your comments, Testing of soil is actually pre-construction stage… it is done during design stage and this informs the type of foundation and number/depth of columns the building would have… most of these videos are construction… not design stage videos … I hope this answered your question..

Umek good job Nnam. It appears you are a specialist in dealing with swampy land. Do you think $40,000 can finish a building like this with boys quarters 4 rooms up and 4 rooms down. Just like a lockup shops. But, your associations , architects, structural engineers and COREN as a body have not done fairly good as regards the price of cement in Nigeria. I expected them to have protested about the cost of building materials especially cement. Many people put their building projects on hold because of the price of cement. Umek, let me know if $40,000 can finish this project with 8 rooms boys quarters 4 rooms up and 4 rooms down. Watching your video from Canada 🇨🇦. Udo diri gi. Nnam.
