1:23:26 I have also been impatient while watching Kagaaz ke phool It's very sensitive film undoubtedly, but the screenplay i.e., the story telling appears to be boring and slow to me( it's just my experience)and also less relateable.

One big flaw in the documentary is not telling who are the participants. Is that Majrooh at 6:14? And the one at 7:14 i think is Raj Khosla but I may be wrong.

my heartfelt gratitude to MAP and Bangalore Fil Forum for including the iconic film '27 Down' in your ongoing series. The film's themes remain remarkably relevant today, making it a valuable watch for film students and enthusiasts alike. Regrettably, the absence of its visionary director, Awtar Kaul, has impacted the film's visibility and screening opportunities over the years. However, this year marked a significant milestone - the 50th death anniversary of Awtar Kaul and the film's release. To commemorate this occasion, '27 Down' had a special screening at IFFI Goa 2024. Nasreen Munni Kabir's intense research and profound knowledge truly shine through in this exceptional documentary on Guru Dutt. The entire program was absolutely engrossing, showcasing her unparalleled authority on the subject. Having interviewed many artists connected to Guru Dutt, Nasreen ji has captured the essence of his artistry with immense depth. Her book, In Search of Guru Dutt, is a masterpiece that I’ve read multiple times, and each time it feels refreshingly new. The entire discussion was well presented. She answers the audience's questions with such clarity and insight. Guru Dutt’s films are a must-watch to experience the true artistry of Hindi cinema, and Nasreen ji’s work brings his legacy to life in a remarkable way. Thanks MAP team. Gandhi Vadlapatla

NMK mentioned that GD's film SBG "is a master piece" is spot on. One can see it again and again and marvel each time. GD's character BoothNath is goofy-ish but far from depressing. I am still perplexed by the owl 's screech at the near end, where Meena Kumari/Choti Bahu is abducted. Any takers?

Viewed as quiet spaces with people spending on there own. Our museums talk to each other describe things to one another inside the galleries. It is like theybring a part of themselves to the museums.

I really enjoyed listening to this fascinating talk by this inimitable scholar of Indian art and painting; and also derived great pleasure and joy from viewing these rich and ornate and extremely colorful images produced by the Mysore court. I have an interest in manuscript paintings and I have shared this talk with my followers on Twitter. The talk was delivered with a certain controlled passion for art by the connoisseur and it was as greatly illuminating as the illuminations themselves!! 👍
