Thanks for tuning in! We'd like to clarify - the HiScroll's motor is 15% more efficient, but it's the combination of this and our unique design that results in >50% energy savings compared to other rough vacuum pumps. It's about smarter energy use and lower costs for you. Any questions? We're here to help! #EnergyEfficiency #Innovation

Please note: Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) starts at a pressure range of 1e-8 hPa due to a change in ISO 3529-1:2019.

Great job . Congrats. How about ion pumps ? Can we use for UHV or XHV ?
@endostatica1405 Жыл бұрын
They don’t last as long but yes
@GerCrusader Жыл бұрын
you need a combination of pumps to reach XHV. You will need a roughing pump and TMP to get to a pressure where it is convenient to turn on your ion pump. Additionally you need a titan sublimation pump, the TSP to pump H2 as this will be the main part of your residual gas after bakeout. You will need to bake your chamber to remove adsorbates, especially water. If you then use a cryo pump you can get to XHV pressure range. IP + TSP can achieve 10^-11 mbar. TMPs have some leak rates, especially for light gases this is significant as they flow back into your chamber near the axle of the pump, this is why it might be helpful to close off any connections to the outside once you've reached a decent pressure and continue pumping with ion and titan sublimation pump.
