As for those other Eaglesmith songs you mentioned, no, I hadn't thought of doing them. I find if I pick up a guitar and try to do a specific song it rarely works out. What works best is just messing around on the guitar doing bits and pieces of songs, then one will eventually click and I'll come up with a groove that feels good and proceed from there. I try not to sound like the original as much as possible, I've played in several bands over the last 45 years and tired of trying to sound exactly like the record. Thanks man, I apreciate the kind words. Nothing special about my setup really. The acoustic is a '07, (I think), Sigma DR-28 with a Fishman bridge pickup played through an early Fishman Loudbox Mini. The electric is a bone stock '97 Mexican Telecaster played through the same Fishman amp most of the time and on this song. I also run it through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe on some songs. An Ibanez Artcore hollowbody makes an occasional appearance through either amp. Great user-name by the way, think I'll make one with bacon.
