To Craig‘s big picture point, national media doesn’t really watch the whole game. They watch bits and pieces of it, and then they look at the box scores. So all the weight is given to points and not the value that they provide on the floor. There’s more value to an individual player how many points a game they’re scoring.

Painter needs to work with Heide and get his head on right…dude seems to have lost all confidence for some reason…if we want to make waves in March we will need either Heide or Colvin to be back to a 40%ish shooter

This game really shows that cams issue seems to be mental, his one make was when he had to take the shot quick, no thinking. He has to get out of his head.

I’ve been thinking about why Rapheal Davis is getting so much hate and why he sometimes comes across as more of a hater than Purdue fans expect. And I think it boils down to Davis not being a believer in Fletcher Loyer. His comments about Purdue not having the best backcourt in the B1G always seemed to be more about Loyer than Smith. And I don’t feel like he ever really brings up Loyer when talking about Purdue. I could be wrong though.

Do you guys think anything has been different with the defensive schemes the past few games? I feel like the boys are not switching 1 through 5 as much and doing a lot more drop coverage on DHO’s and pick and rolls. This seems like it’s been allowing opponents to get more paint touches and easier drives to the basket

Lists of fun watching this team win. Coach is smart and a wonderful leader. That’s why we are so successful.

What a huge difference between the two press conferences. One coach takes the blame for his players while the other blames his players. Woodson sure could learn a thing or two about being a leader from Painter. That look Galloway gives to his coach says it all

My thing with assembly hall is that I just think it’s a really ugly arena with a bizarre seating layout. I’m sure it gets loud, but it’s an eyesore to me.

52:15 the fact that Edey is a NBA rookie of the year candidate (and certainly a lottery pick rising star) vs what Hood-Scheffino is doing in the nba (nothing) is a testament to Purdue being a much superior program from a coaching & development standpoint.

What a class dude. Thank you, Caleb, for being the model of a Boilermaker, a citizen of this place and program we love, and every bit the gentleman who knows his place in the world. May we be blessed with more Calebs - and Godspeed to that young man with such a big heart. // Great interview, great show. Thanks guys. - j.a.c.

So normally you can throw out records and talent when these two teams meet. In fact I would say Purdue coming off a huge win at home and IU coming off a crushing loss at home, I would pick IU in this game. The issue though is that in todays world I don't see that motivation and hate of the other team. If we look at talent, IU should win this game. If we look at programs and how the team is playing, Purdue should win this easily. I guess it depends on what IU team shows up and if Purdue is hitting outside shots all game or not. This should be a fun game.

This might be the best coaching job of painters career. Having lost Edey then losing Jacobson to injury, the staff had to adjust in real time. It seems like a hybrid zone. I great job scouting and know exactly when to help. Like what you said braggs, swarming the ball handler and rotate so well. Sometimes it looks like there are gaps in the defense, but I feel like Purdue might be baiting the pass and jumping into the passing lane. The gap really isn’t there. Again great scouting job. The defensive intensity allows the offense to thrive. Defense travels and is a recipe for March success.

Bragg’s I disagree the Raleigh hairball was not a good shot, it was early in shot clock and no offense had been run. He could have got that same shot late in shot clock and then it would have been ok

Bad game for Coach and team. Got away from what was working. Had to ride Gicarri more in this one. Loyer and smith’s defense was 💩 down the stretch. I love em both but their d was poop. They’ll bounce back next game. Just be glad we didn’t lose how the Cavs did to my rockets tonight 😂
