If, you are going to put lyrics on a screen/ video... use the music for the song you are portraying... seriously...stupid video.

The old house was my grandma's landlord home,I cant remember her name,we would go there to pay her rent. This before Benji and the house was unkept but I think they made it look a bit more unkept for the movie, but the paint coming off and yard about the same. She died I think or sold her houses.Because my grandmas rent house was on Griffen Street.New owners raised her rent way more than she could pay and had to move.I lived with her alot and we move back and my mom would live back and forth in McKinney so i stayed with grandma when my mom getting a divorce.I loved McKinney it was my hometown, but did not like the school's so I would play hookie alot in the park the park in the movie Finch park.Plus we played in that park my whole childhood.I would hide in the bushes when I saw someome.I felt like a fugitive.I wrote my sister a letter and told her what I was doing and my grandma opened it and seen what I told her about the park. And I was sitting on top of slide useing it for my look out spot and my grandma snuck up on me.I was busted couldn't play hookie there no more.We moved so much I was behind in school teachers treated me like dummy is why played hookie. So this movie has alot of memories in for me.I was 12 at that time or 13 the year was 1973 give or take and the movie wasnt out yet.Im old lady now I'm 62.I would walk all over McKinney,my grandma walked to the stores sometimes I walked alone downtown. My Uncle was in jail alot I would go down the alley and talk to him from jail windows.Benji reminds me of myself running around town.I have the movie for my keepsakes.

I have heard of a land On the faraway strand This a beautiful home of the soul Built by Jesus on high There we never shall die This the land where we'll never grow old. Never grow old, never grow old In the land where we'll never grow old Never grow old, never grow old In the land where we'll never grow old. When our work here is done And the life's crown is won And our troubles and trials are o'er All our sorrow will end And our voices will blend With the loved ones who've gone on before. Never grow old, never grow old In the land where we'll never grow old Never grow old, never grow old In the land where we'll never grow old...

Mixmaster Jim was awesome! Let me tell you I listened to him on weekends back in late 80s on knon. I was originally from Garland but lived in Royse City at that time. I would draw cars/trucks while listening, all I could do in the country back then. I was around 15 years old/ 49 now. He was certainly a dj who brought the inner city youth of Dallas together and always promoted peace when it was needed. I’ve never forgotten Jim Evans RIP

This is a beautiful version. I really like how you did it. But can I ask you why the middle verse is taken out? It is so important for it to stay in since it is part of telling us the whole gospel and why we really need Jesus.

Amazing grace how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now I'm found Was blind, but now I see 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed My chains are gone, I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love Amazing grace The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures My chains are gone, I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love Amazing grace My chains are gone, I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love Amazing grace The earth shall soon dissolve like snow The sun forbear to shine But God, who called me here below Will be forever mine, will be forever mine You are forever mine

This video brings back a flood of emotions and seeing Jim, hearing his voice makes me cry. I assumed he was still alive and on the radio because that was his love for everyone. We met back in the early 90s over the radio and remained very close. He was polite, kind hearted, funny, respectful and very open with me about his life. He was very loving, I've missed him over all these years even though our lives went other directions. His imprint will always be on everyone he came across. Love you always Jim 😥❤🎶✝️
