And how many campsites were fully operational during winter time? Was it hard to get electricity and stuff like that for motorhome?
@campericeland6 жыл бұрын
Bartosz Feński we have extensive information on our webpage to topics like that. In 2015 when the Icelandic government decided that campers must go to camp grounds (with certain exception) many operators such as us asked for solutions all year long. If you check this link you will not only find all informations on where to camp but on the bottom of the page is a link where you can always check what camp grounds are open in the winter. We have experienced different opinions on the internet whether the winter makes sense or not but fact is we have many customers that love it. Especially because they hunt for Northern Lights and what‘s better then a vehicle with a heating system and enough space to do that. Check this out: www.campericeland.is/en/where-can-i-camp/

You can find the answer to that question on our website both under information (f.e. Illegal driving in Iceland) and under support: www.campericeland.is
@CharlyGK77 жыл бұрын
what about the restrictions motorhome rental companies put with respect to what places you can drive over and which not. I see it travelling out of paved surfaces in the video? What is permited and what is not?
@campericeland7 жыл бұрын
As long as you drive on a road (paved or not) there is nothing illegal. Further restrictions is subject to the rented category... more about that under www.campericeland.is (information)

Hi, We plan on coming in end of June-2017, and plan to do whole ring Road. Is Motor home 6 safe for family of 5, especially for Iceland weather and wind Gust. My major concern is for safety during gusty winds. Also seeing pictures, Lake Viti lake is on our list, can we goto this place using Motor home. Thanks in Advance.

what's the weather like? I'm planning on getting a small camper in November but icelandic locals on trip adviser give all the "scaremongering" stories saying you'll be blown off the road, snowed in and nowhere to camp etc. Is this all true? I'm 50/50 now if I should do it. My plan is to go to kirkjufell, dynjandi (if the road is open), pingvellir, geysir, the waterfalls (skogafoss etc) then up to jokulsarlon and then back to Reykjavik and home

Hello! Im coming with a group of 6 and we intend to rent a motorhome for our 8days in Iceland. Would it be easy to navigate and would a motorhome be able to access most areas? Eg the abandoned aircraft near Vik?

This is amazing! Coming to Iceland in early December. Did they need a 4x4 camper?Any details on the itinerary?
@campericeland9 жыл бұрын
+StephCastonguay The Motor Home got them everywhere. The weather in Iceland can vary a lot. The 4x4 has the advantage of getting you there even if it snows. However the Motor Home has more space.

were all of these location accessible by the Camper or did they have to take tours?
@danieljohnson73209 жыл бұрын
No that was the thing, everything was accessible by camper. They hiked a lot and of course walked to the sights. F.e. Svartifoss (basalt waterfall) is only accessible by foot. It's a national park and it takes you 15-30 minute to get there.
@khoibui899 жыл бұрын
Daniel Johnson Thanks! how about the ice cave? does the camper rental company let you rent the pick axe and crampons?
