Thank you for saying this!!! I’ve worked for a Major for a long time. My airline does have my back a little better. I’ve had people arrested and had been backed by my company. I love my company! I hope you have the best future!!! I’m following your channel. You pilots call your flight attendants bottom feeders because they aren’t unionized… They reap the benefits of the unionized workers… This made me really upset… We are the same people doing the same job with nearly the same pay in different uniforms… Once again thank you for this post!!!

I worked Ground Underwing and ATO for the commuter wing of a major US Airline You guys are heroes! We used to help clean the cabin on turns! It was fun when I was in it! We had similar arguing situations like that! And these guys were suits arguing over a seat on an ERJ-145! After a 4 Leg day you guys gotta be worn out!

As far as the overhead bins are concerned, I'm thinking this is why airlines now offer to take checked bags at the gate for free, to avoid any mishap by the time everyone gets on the plane, and if they know for sure they're running out of overhead bin space. Intoxicated passengers: I've driven them for Uber, and let me tell ya, they are a PITA. Rude passengers: I've driven them as a shuttle driver for an airport where I live, and I've gotten really good at de-escalation. 😂 That rude passenger for the beer: I wouldn't have even ask that guy if there's anything I could do for him about his delayed flight. As an FA, I'm sure you know that's not your responsibility. Just say sorry and move on. The more you engage with these unruly customers, the more they will do more to try to piss you off because they know it's working. Trust me, I've encountered it many times. I'm sorry that happened to you though. Good point as far as the pilots not coming out to save the passengers. FAs have that heavy responsibility for hundreds of passengers. However, I will say, you pointed at yourself. But you decided to quit. However, I'm glad you decided it was not for you because now someone else can take that position, someone who is willing to fill those shoes.

@Pluscelamemechose2 ай бұрын
No. The big bag goes under the seat just fine. I know because I've done it. 1st class or cabin, it works. That little one is barely bigger than a purse.
@TaraOzekinАй бұрын
I disagree. The big one was enormous, way too big for a flight attendant to carry around-- and FAs are offered a lot of leniency. The mini is a weekender, it's not meant to pack your entire wardrobe in. If you have a long trip, I would pack your essentials in the mini, and check a large roller luggage. Mini works best for quick trips or as a carry on. Everyone doesn't fly first class, and if you fly internationally on smaller carriers that are common in Europe, like AnadoluJet, Pegasus, or Iberia, you will be asked to check it. I was asked to check my mini, even with the bottom shoe compartment unzipped and detached.
@TaraOzekinАй бұрын
That being said, Delta, American airlines, AirFrance, Air Korea, really big names (with big airliners) would likely allow you to keep it.

It's absolutely not too late! It's really never too late! I had people in my training class that were in their 40's and 50's. My advice is to 1. Apply to many airlines at once 2. In interviews, exude a mentality of helpfulness. Describe how you love to serve others, and how important hospitality is to you. 3. Go to your interviews dressed as though you already have the job, just without any company names or logos. Think blazer, red lips, high heels! The look matters! I wish you the best of luck!

Found your Beis mini weekender review when randomly surfing luggage (I was trying to recall the unusual line of I think (gasp) leather items at one of the American high end shops NY Chicago SF etc. I don't buy those but I like to loook. I just love this review! ! ! Both for the thorough and organized show & tell, including personal take on various choices of how to use the bag, and you do a great demo, seriously. What I most enjoyed was I am not even sure what it is called [ ! ] "presence," or "delivery," You have a wonderful rapport with your audience which is actually pretty rare in internet video. I used to fly a lot. I have found that flyers, particularly commercial, are often easy to talk with and easy to listen to and generally smaaRRRT and kind and also witty. Best of success and happiness to you and yours. I'll probably get one of those mini's :) and I might give one as a gift as well. Cheers!

Had my experience in jr high school and high school being paddled by teachers ,and they didn't hold back , it was hard and swift punishment by teachers with big classes that had no time for creative forms of discipline . So for just about any offense we got the paddle used on us .Yet afterwards ,for about a good hour or two, those swats still stung ,after that it was over . With kids so young as yours it's absolutely not acceptable ,too much damage mentally and physically can occur .
@TaraOzekin6 ай бұрын
It's hard to know where to draw the line in the ages where it can be considered "appropriate punishment". If I thought that spanking/paddling was teaching him anything, I'd do it. But what it taught him is that hitting is how we handle our anger. Not a good lesson for a 3 year old! It's not my business how other people chose to raise their kids, of course. I just think teachers shouldn't be allowed to decide this for us as parents.

I'm a former FA and identify with alot of what you talked about. I'm just curious, in the situation you mentioned about the guy wanting the beer on the short flight, if you would have sold him a beer, would you have gotten in trouble?
@TaraOzekin6 ай бұрын
Hey flighty friend! No, I wouldn't have gotten in trouble. And I would even assume some FAs might be willing to do it, even though it would be against policy. HOWEVER, if another passenger noticed that I sold old Joe some beer, others might want to buy as well. Why does one passenger get a special exception and others do not? The purpose of the policy on those short flights (less than 450 miles) is that you want to be able to offer a beverage to every passenger in the cabin. It takes time to make a payment in the air, and the galley isn't stocked with enough for the entirety of the cabin, since they are very meticulous about catering the aircraft according to the mileage. If you are stuck with multiple passengers making payments, you will not have time to get through the entire cabin to offer everyone even just the basics! It was only a 45 min flight, to service 200 people. It also says on the website when you purchase your ticket which types of services you'll be offered in the air. So those in the main cabin, who paid less for their seats don't get the option to purchase an alcoholic beverage on short distance flights. Of course on longer flights, main cabin is able to purchase alcohol! It's all based on mileage. I know that was long winded! Hope that helps!
@Nisalyn887 ай бұрын
Agreed. How can we expect toddlers to control emotional outbursts when full grown adults in charge of children can’t control their own emotional outbursts. Tantrums are a normal part of development, and can be handled without spanking…it just requires more time and effort from the caregivers, clearly this teacher doesn’t have the capacity or desire.

I hear you. I'm not offended. I was just like that, I applied to get into the aviation industry for 3 years before I even got an interview. When I got this job, it was a dream come true. But I at that time, I was single, not a mother, and only had to care for myself. Life did a whirlwind 180 degree turn on me. Everything changed when I accidentally became pregnant. I tried to make it work, but found that it was too much for me at that time. But I loved flying. I miss it all the time. That company is THE BEST you could hope to get into, and I truly wish you so much luck with getting the job you desire. So much love <3

She’s not ungrateful! I used to have the mindset you have; however, you have to realize that sometimes we want something, then we get into it, then we decide it’s not a great fit for us. And it’s okay! Take your issue up with Delta for not hiring you and not her.

She got the Job because she possessed personality traits that you don't have, which that particular airline is looking for. Everything she revealed in this video is 100 percent correct. I flew international for a major US airline for over 30 years. I know. She is not being ungrateful, she is being factual. And if you ever become a F/A, you would or will concur with everything she is saying and then some.

I went through some of these thoughts at some point. And now again. Some of these things come back around. I think you are super blessed. Partner and kids. You could do interiors on youtube. And or maybe real estate i hear it’s flexiable. Try yoga to have a routine. Then always make sure you do weights. I find weights consistently strengthen and change body shape. That’s why guys who lift can kinda eat what they want in moderation. Airline corporate might be an option. I’m sort of visual and artsy myself. But eventually couldn’t figure it out. So then did some degrees last being education. Only to find it doesn’t pay much depending on kind of education. I say that to say i’m well educated but still trying to figure out how to make a decent wage in this economy. And find partner/family. It’s a toss up. Just try to enjoy it and make good decisions along the way. For me if i get the salary i want i can create a nice home and that would be fun or satisfying. or create the salary i want.

I am glad that you told me otherwise I would have made a mistake to try to use it as a personal item, unless I get the convertible one which detaches.
