Just fitted this to my 912 , definitely better than the OG version but don’t expect a modern type gear-change . It’s pretty pricey by the time it gets to the UK .

This tool is amazing. Used the 927 version to install the circlips in Mahle pistons for a small block chevy. I was so frustrated after trying to get the circlips into the first piston. I bought the tool and it makes it SO much easier. Thank you!!!!!

Great tool! Just finished my long block rebuild and an original stud snapped right off when putting on my headers. My anxiety shot through my garage ceiling and I knew this tool was my only hope. A bit nerve wrecking but it worked exactly as intended. Now I have another specialized Stomski tool proudly added to my arsenal. Thank you!

Nice video. Great tools. But it would have been better if he had set the engine up to basic TDC with the crank at Z1 and both cams with the punch marks/keyway straight up and then it would have been ready to time easiest. In this position the #1 cylinder would have been on compression and only required to turn the crank 360 to put it in overlap and set the timing as described. Then another 360 to do cylinder #4.

Hello Sir. Just fitted mine and although I previously replaced the bushes on the old coupler with Weltmeister and there was no slack, your upgrade is def gonna outlast any bushes. Well worth the £200 on my 1984👍🏻

Dear Mr. Stomski: I ordered your shift coupler and am blown away at the improvement it's brought to my 1982 911SC shifting. Now the true full pleasure of driving a 911 is finally revealed. The best upgrade on my car to date.

I can also attest this is hands down the best circlip install tool I've ever come across. Made quick easy work of 6 circlip pairs for my 2004 BMW E46 M3, JE FSR aftermarket pistons.. took about 10 min! Your tools are high quality, very durable, will be purchasing more for further engine rebuilds... thanks again!

Excellent video. Thorough. Tiny constructive criticism would be the echo-y room you choose to do the commentary part. A very common thing only brought up constructively. Thank you for adding knowledge base to the Porsche community.

Why backwards to get 329, why not forward to get 329? Was your Z1 mark to case accurate after exercise or was factor markings off?

Because he was 15 degrees behind TDC, as you see he bumps the pin tool in cylinder 1 when rotating clockwise… he’s forced to counter clockwise the crank.

Using 8mm bolts was a bad idea , lets face it ! 10 or 12 mm studs would have increased the odd that the nut or the stud would come out

Now you know why I use an oxy-acetylene torch to heat up the exhaust manifold nuts. You need experience to know how much torque you can safely apply, long before the stud will snap. Minutes of prevention can save you hours of grief. Great videos by the way.

I just used this tool yesterday. its by far the best tool i've ever used for this job. i had all the clips in within 5-10min and no issues. normally this would have been a 1-2hr job and clips launching across the room + pain.
