I would never do any mod that takes away finning and hands free fishing. That is what makes toons special. I think the author said this as well.

How do you totate motor 90 deg? I find I have to do this a lot to maneuver in my xt, especially in wind. The oars help track, yes, but only modestly, they are always in the way, imo. They also cause drag to a range that is minimal. Here is a novel idea, drift downstream and then take out or find a river that is not a lake in disquise. I had Lowrance sidescan on xt as well. Probably will mount on kayak. Fish finders are not necessary on rivers. Read the river. Sorry man, nice presentation, no offense. Just trying to save people some expense. Been ther done that. This is what google comments are for, sayeth some dude, somewhere.

Toons really are designed to be single-hand drift boats. They will do everything a guide drifter will do, in addition to finning and hands free fishing, which makes them better. On stillwater, they are basically a float tube with oars, subject to all of the issues of float tubing. Get a paddle, pedal or motorized kayak for still water, I have both. You will be much happier. No offense.

I have electric trolling motor for sale. I did this to xt. Not wortht it, unless you spend 500 on lithium/ion battery. The range is poor and these boats don't track well in wind. Awkwark reaching back to steer. As soon as you junk up these cool toons you need a trailer. Which I have because i don't like to break down boat either. Most states require registration for motorized. PITA. Become an expert oarsman/finner and stick to drifting. No offense.

Tip- take a pair of toe nail clippers and on the cable tie trim it back so no sharp tail ready to rip a hole in your skin.

Motorized pontoon boats like this are extremely squirrely, in the wind on stillwaters. Not recommended. Been there done that. No offense. Just my experience with xt.

Pontoon boats are awesome and very flexible. I modded my xt in a very similar fashion with batt/emotor/ff/sidescan. Lake fishing sucks in these boats. I undid everything. These boats really shine with simplicity. Drift fly fishing, micro skagit style. Read the river. No fisffinder garbage. No heavyass motor/battery. No registration. Use your feet with fins and oars. River runs only. Best style of fishing. No offense. If you want to bass/whatever fish on stilllwater, get a bass boat or kayak.

Gen X is 1965 to 1985 acording to a harvard university study years ago they explained how generations are a 20 year thing and people saying some generations are like 14 or 16 years makes no sense, the way they explained the study was way more realistic then just people saying there what ever generation they feel like

Dont fillet them. Cook them whole and then the meat can be flaked away from the spine and bones . Grew up eating them that way. Works better than picking for loose bones.

I was also born in 1981 in Sri Lanka. We grew up with black and white VHF tv 📺 as kids and the only entertainment as 90’s teens was reading Hardy boys and playing cricket 🏏 outdoors. We also went through power cuts/curfew due to war/ but had some taste of game & Watch donkey Kong!!! We held a mobile phone for the first time in our 20’s!! So definitely not millennials 🤷🏽

Born 1981 though I was Xer too I remember my uncle's paying the cable guy 25 bucks to hook up our TV with cable or plugging our cable cord to the neighbors or climb the pole themselves and steal it right from the source I don't think millennials would know about that just something Xers would know about.

this generation stuff is bit missundestoud. Its fact that generations defined how they raised and in what world. Beyond that I born at 1988 at greece and I am gen x because I raised exactly like gen x. Streets bikes wars with bbguns unattended we had bike accidents get up and continue to play till daylight to return home. We had videogames still we introduced to them in mid 90s and in general playing outside with friends was always better than be alone with a video game. i lived like a milenial standard around my teenage end years. So this year frames don't make sense at all. I raised with casetes classic rock and almost like my parents who are gen x. Its not the time that define you its the way you got raised .

we was sliding on hill slops with makeshift carts, playing rock wars wearing plastic buckets with holes for protection, slingshoted streetlights to see who had better aim its strange but I think millennials are the current gen z to us and gen z is the gen a since the basic world standards are not exactly travel or the world is shaped like USA all around world. we are like a generation behind consider that internet on house came a thing at 2007 as basic and from 2001 we had net cafes. in USA this was a decade earlier I supose.

I too was born in 1981, and I don't consider myself a real Millennial. I just call myself a Min-Xer. I just had the unfortunate fate of being born on a year that some loser in some stuffy office decided to make the year of 1981 a year for Millennials. I was raised the same way Gen X was raised. I didn't even have my first gaming console until I was almost ten. Even when I did get an Atari 2600, and later an NES, my parents would kick me out of the house at a certain hour, so my gaming time was limited. I spent more time on my bike than I did playing Super Mario Bros. If I wanted to play games, I'd have to do so before bed, and IF I wanted to play games, I'd better have my homework done, and have taken a bath first. Otherwise, I'd go to bed without games. My parents didn't let video games, movies or anything raise me. They were in my life, and I got those things as a reward for good behavior. I racked up so many injuries as a kid, but it made me tougher. So yeah, there's a dang good reason why I consider myself more Gen X than Millennial. However, if I have to be labeled as one, I'll do it on my own terms. So Min-X it is!
