In a situation like that you have to commit to the corner instead of trying to brake out all of your speed in the upright panic mode. This is one of the main reasons why people die on superbikes. They underestimate the speed these things can achieve, and it comes in a blink of an eye, then over cook a corner, passing onto the other side of the road and no doubt into the path of a truck!!.

He nailed with the rear brake !!! It is a mistake that all beginners make, if he had used the front brake he would have stopped long before the corner ... very lucky

Now that's a lucky save from intersection :D That hasn't never happened to me, but I few times bit too close for my liking. That "oh shit can I brake enough" feeling is quite horrible on bikes trying to brake to the limit and then so to say throw yourself into corner hoping best, keeping very mild power to try to keep suspension up, lean angle to maximum and still try to minimze speed. All that while trying to keep calm and focused.
