And yeah, I found that this deck actually has a better foundation for spellslinger deck than it does for the way it's initially set up. All you would have to do is plug in a few blue spouse singer staples and there you go. And since it has green in the mana pole, you definitely benefit from all the ramp.

Would this deck still work if I used liberty of prime?
@MTGThoughtcast18 күн бұрын
@bigchris3247 With most of the creatures in the 99 producing Energy, Liberty should always have some to pay for it to attack or block. There still should be artifacts around too for the 2nd ability. With how this style of deck is made, mashing Science into Creative Energy can be adjusted to include more cards from one deck or vice versa! -Jon

Star is really straight forward. And probably the easiest way to play with 5 people. Sit in a circle. If you hold hands in that circle, the people you're holding hands with are your allies. The other 2 are your enemies. First person to kill their 2 enemies is the winner. The trick is that each enemy is an ally of an ally. It is possible to have a tie. Much faster than a 5 player ffa and doesn't lose the politics of EDH.
@MTGThoughtcast28 күн бұрын
Seems simple enough, though a seldom find myself playing 5+ players. Thanks for the suggestion! -Jon
@king.eternal598028 күн бұрын
@@MTGThoughtcast oh I haven't done it very often either. But there's been a few times an extra person makes it to a game night. It feels like every person you add to an edh game adds a disproportionate amount of time and complexity. Star fixes that by narrowing your focus to 2 people and only caring about the other 2 if you need something from one another. Not my favorite way to play but always nice to have so no one is left out.

I think a corner case for Fear of Imposters countering your own spell could be either creating two blockers at instant speed or countering a spell that is going to fizzle due to an uncounterable effect. Definitely not what you want to be doing with it, but definitely something that is playable when in dire straights haha

Great call on "Sheltered by Ghosts". I think we're trained to just ignore auras because of the 2 for 1 potential. But an oblivion ring that also gives a creature ward 2, lifelink, and an extra power for 2 mana is a legitimately strong card. This has got to go into a lot of voltron and enchantress commander decks.
