Leider wird die Aufnahme dem Live-Eindruck nicht vollumfänglich gerecht :-): Die Musiker:innen spielten von zum Teil diametral entgegengesetzten Positionen im Raum (Gethsemane-Kirche in Berlin), so dass sich ein multilokales Raum-Klang-Ereignis ergab. Ansonsten: ein sehr ergreifendes Stück, wie ich finde.

it starts at third system ("volante") - and the arpeggios are notated just as chords with the indication "sempre arpeggio" above them for better clarity - as in bach's "chaconne in d minor";)

freut mich, dass es dir gefällt:) der titel ist angelehnt an das einwortgedicht "lighght" vom amerikanischen dichter aram saroyan - "nighght" also quasi als das gegenstück dazu. zudem diente als inspiration die letzten zwei strophen aus meinem eigenen gedicht "am kamin": "(...) es bleibt dann nur die asche unsrer / gedanken, unsrer erinnerungen; auch die / schatten werden dann verschwunden sein; / dunkel und kalt bricht dann die nacht herein."
