Flowmasters for me!

I am laughing. Before I looked at comments, I felt I would be the only one who preferred the glasspacks. Nope! I had glasspacks on my high school rig. Love it then and still love it!

The Flowmasters have a hollow "tinny" Resonance that I don't like.

I always ran glasspacks when my original mufflers gave out. When I was 16, my Dad gave my Mom a 1973 Buick Estate wagon. She had it for a year when the factory muffler rusted off at the outlet (it broke while she was driving it, was hanging down). My Dad was at work, so I went to the local NAPA store and bought a glasspack and installed it--my Mom said the car sounded different and was just a little louder than normal but she kept driving it!

Unpopular opinion looking at the comments, lol. Been a glass pack guy since the 70's, but I gotta tell ya, those Flowmaster's sound sweet. Now I'm more into the quiet, sleeper sound.

Glass-packs sound better to me. However, it's understandable why you made the switch. Way to go. 👍 .

Glasspacks are my favorite. I really dislike the 'metallic hollow pipe' sound from the Flowmaster. ...Nice ride, '56 Chevy is at the top of my list.

Ya' wanna great sound? Hang them on a 56 or 57 Ford. My 56 and 57 were incredible sounding. Even my wife’s 58 sounded good but not as throaty as the others.

GREAT JOB ON THE VIDEO. BOTH SOUND GREAT. FOR THE DIFFERENCE IT IS A PERSONAL CHOICE. I LIKE THE GLASS PACKS AND HEADERS. GREW UP WITH THE SOUNDS.

Glasspacks are much better and a more period correct sound on 50's-60's cars.

Flow master fit this type of car better. Glass pack is louder, will fit a muscle car or 80s car best

I like the flowmasters but I was always a fan of the glasspacks because they have that growl sound

I put a set of glasspacks on a 3/4 ton Chevy truck i had. Headers and 2 in true duals out the side behind the rear axle. Before I installed them I took and stuffed rags in one end and filled them full of used motor oil. Left them most of the day full and then drained and wiped off what I could and put them on. That dude smoked like hell for the 1st 10 miles or so but once it was burnt out those glass packs were the best I'd ever heard. The oil burned out the packing that helps hold what rattles inside the muffler to make its signature rattle and exiting out the sides made it seem louder bcuz it was stereo basically. Instead of all out the back going in one derection. I constantly got attaboys on how good it sounded. Miss that ol truck.

As a teenager and young adult in the late 60's early 70's. Glass packs all the way. That sound brought back some awesome memories!

It may be because I'm a Boomer that I now prefer the toned down Flowmasters over the raspier sounding glasspacks.

Glasspacks! But I would like to point out that the exhaust exit is different, straight out the back with the glasspacks, and turned down with the flowmasters. This is changing the sound especially from the rear, so the test isn't an exact comparision, but otherwise very well done.

Use American Thunder series Flowmasters...not the ones you had. They have a much better sound and are louder. I've been using them on my Mustang since 1999 and to this day people comment how good they sound.

Get the original 40s without delta I love mine on my 1972 nova small block 396.

Love Flowmasters but my Cherry Bombs sound amazing on my 66 Mustang.

Hands down GLASSPACKS nothing can compare to the sound
