I was missing five bolts completely from the underneath skid plate in the rear.( Model S 2020) I replaced them and added a split spring washer and used Loctite blue, because it seems what Tesla does promotes losing the bolts altogether.

Plastic Tesla factory ones are garbo, Mountain Pass Performance & RPM Tesla both sell aluminum ones which I've changed out on my Model 3 Performance. The aluminum ones are wayyyyyyy better. I have a few videos on my channel going over this.

Had something similar happen to me. Except Tesla service center used two zip-ties to keep it in place. Immediately after driving it off their lot, I called customer care. They contacted that service center because they ignored my calls/texts. That service center gave me a loaner. Now, before I leave that service center, I will be verifying their work.

Would this work on a 2023 C class? F550 motor home 4 wheel drive. Will this be able to be installed on one of those? Please comment back and let me know. Thank you so very much for this video.

dude, mine were all loose too and I think I figured out why, all the bolts and nuts were loose around the aero tray. I had to replace my Aero tray because it got damaged like yours and I asked for new nuts and bolts and I noticed the bolts all had loctite on all of them. they must have discovered this was an issue with all the vibrations from the road that it was causing the nuts and bolts to loosen over time. if you don't replace the nuts and bolts. I would recommend you add Loctite to all of them and they will hold tight.

Wow dude, same thing happened to me, I had tesla open my radiator to clean out a lot of debris and just a few days ago, my undercarriage panel looks exactly like yours and the one bolt in the corner was missing. I just ordered the newer panel that is supposed to be made of plastic instead of composite material. Along with all new bolts and I’m gonna install it myself when the parts come in a few days.

BTW - If you already replaced it...you can put the aluminum version over top of the fabric one for increased strength. That's what I did. You get the sound dampening of the fabric and the added strength of the anodized aluminum.
@TrendyStone3 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed your video. This is a common problem with model 3s especially if they see much snow or water as the fabric material gets weak and heavy. You can buy an aluminum replacement on Amazon that fits perfectly to replace the fabric material on both front and back. RPM Tesla sells them (and has instructional videos) but they are much less on Amazon. The screws are 10mm if you need to replace a few and you can buy them at Home Depot. Add Loctite blue 242 to the threads and they won't work lose.

Thanks for the like and the information. I'm not really a content creator and didn't see your information until now! I think I'm going to get it back on the lift to check if all the other ones are still tight and if not add some loctite like you suggested. I ended up using half a role of gorilla tape and it held up until service let me in. After viewing my video they covered everything under warranty.

Similarly, you can interchange LTX 12 Bottles among Purell, Provon, and GoJo brands by swaping the RFID sensor. I have not tried pulling it off as shown in this video but it sure looks simple. Less risky, you can simply cut a small plastic nib with any side cutters and remove the whole collar from each bottle. Swap the collars and the bottles are interchangable without taking the base apart as shown in this video. If you want to refill the empty 40 ounce bottle from any LTX 12 foaming dispenser just drill a 1/4 Inch hole in the top of the 40 ounce bottle, mix up the following solution , and add with a clean mustard like bottle. Clean and Tape over that 1/4 inch hole with black electrical tape so your home made solution below does not evaporate. All of the ingredients can be bought online. Hand sanitizer can be hard to fine in these Pandemic times. Don't waste your money on expensive refills that are hard to find and don't do without. 12 Ounces of 100% Aloe Vera Gell 24 Ounces of Iso Rubbing Alcohol (70 or 90%) 1.5 Ounce of Cocamidopropyl Betane (Surfactant for Foaming) 1/2 Eye dropper of Lavender Essential Oil

Can you not just glue it in place then take the sensor off of the replacement one and install?
@racer38224 жыл бұрын
yeah for sure, you can swap chips but the next time its change you have to make sure it has the right chip in it or the old chip is out.

Also the 1/8" TRRS jack on the device allows for UART communication, you can get the refill serial number, battery status and a few other goodies.

The native firmware will only allow up to three refills worth of dispenses to occur before the RFID chip is blacklisted and will no longer allow dispenses.
@racer38224 жыл бұрын
Thats interesting, haven't heard that yet or had it happen. And here I thought it was a permanent solution. Will have to wait and see.
@donh60094 жыл бұрын
Very interesting! I wonder if that will also be the case with LTX 12 dispensors which the manufacturer never dreamed anyone would refill as mentioned by me above. The method is simple so savings from the first 3 cheap refills make it worth it. Buy a new one and fill it 3 more times if the RFID fails to work. Only time will tell. Sounds like the RFID sensor counts the number of dispenses and this is set to 3X the expected number. There can be no blacklist as you mention since this is not an online device nor is there any shelf life on the bottles.
@racer38224 жыл бұрын
@@donh6009 perhaps he means locally on that board only. In my case I have multiple units so can move a "blacklisted" chip to a different unit and go for awhile.
@AdamsLab4 жыл бұрын
This is a great way to hack the dispensers if you have access to the "correct" RFID tag to hot glue in. I had sanitizer dispensers that I wanted to put soap in... the sanitizer bottles are hard to come by atm. Plus you need a tag for each dispenser. Turns out, the dispensers use a re-programmable microcontroller, and it's fairly easy to reprogram them. There is even sample code available that "bypasses" the RFID reader. If your curious check out either my video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2a1eYatqb5kjac or the GitHub page: github.com/zapta/misc/tree/master/soap_dispenser
@racer38224 жыл бұрын
Awesome video! I was looking how to do that very thing back in March. Definately a more elegant solution and cheaper than buying soaps to get the correct chip! I bought soap dispensers for my restrooms too so was able to reuse the bottles I bought to get the RFIDs from so at least nothing went to waste. Thanks for the link!

This is really dangerous for dogs! My dog (a labrador) nearly died last week because he ate snow. It was not even that much, but after one day he had an peritoneal inflammation and had to spent two days in the animal hospital. If we wouldn't have acted so fast he would not have made it... Really watch out when playing with your dogs in the snow!
