Yes, cleaning out around buildings rapidly "buys" farmland. Already paying taxes on it. Parking equipment tight and organizing can increase farm output substantially. Cutting back fence rows is important too.

That smaller rear disc on the outside is to help with the disc not ridging in soft ground . Let your drawbar swing so you can turn the disc instead of scuffing it across the ground on a turn. 👍😎✌🏻

I need to find a swing draw bar for that H. It didn’t have one when I bought it
@christinamoneyhan56882 сағат бұрын
@ it helps when making tight turns just have to make sure your tire does not catch hold of the disc tongue. 👍

@redtractorsman18 сағат бұрын
That is probably a 8ft KEWANEE disk and those outside blades are smaller so it leaves a smaller outside furrow all a guess but I tryed

I think you’re on the right track. I’d use two seals if I were doing it. You must have a bad ass file to cut the burrs on that shaft!
@grumpyshopteacher25Күн бұрын
That is my grandfather Nicholson file. It has done more in its previous life than I could ever do with it in mine lol. It still cuts better than my new files I bought

Looks like a good find! There is a manual solution for any of the antique equipment you find in the future that are missing their hydraulic cylinders or using a tractor without remote hydraulic ports: my pull behind AC WD-era brush hog has a cargo rotary-ratchet chain binder instead of a hydraulic cylinder bolted in place. Could be original or just painted persian-orange since then but it works well for height adjustments between field and road.

the shaft may have an area that's worn down where the seal was running, so it will leak again. There are thin sleeves made to drive on the shaft over the worn area where the seal rides. That way the new seal has a perfect new sealing surface. The feather of the seal always goes toward the oil. Don't install the seal dry.

@gusthefarmer56087 күн бұрын
I put two on both facing opposite of what you had originally, just pack the space between it with grease
@LDTractorRestorations8 күн бұрын
From the factory, they only came with one, many people install two on it though. With the seal cover off, drive one facing away from it, and install permatex around it, then press the other seal in as normal. Should never leak a drop after that
@donalddavis28558 күн бұрын
Correct on the seals. Wrap electrical tape on the PTO sfat and grease, so you done damage the seals going back together
