I lived there for 5 years best place Everyone knows everyone. It’s hard to go somewhere and not see someone you know. Me personally I went there for pretty much all of elementary school. I lived like 5 minutes away from creekside elementary and I have tons of friends from there. A couple months ago I was playing a game and I found someone from new bern that went to my old school and we lived 10 minutes away from each other

We love New Bern, visited many times, and have always dreamed of retiring there. As much as we'd love to be there and as much as we feel we could contribute to the overall warm, welcoming culture in a very positive way, I wonder how we would be received and welcomed as a gay married couple. Would love to envision retiring in New Bern, just not sure, unfortunately, if it's the community we would thrive. I would like to think so and would appreciate any feedback anyone would be willing to offer.

I think all that 🌈 🥊 bs is in the past 🤷🏻‍♂️… The past 20 years have proved the love & acceptance for people’s personal choice! I’m thinking of moving there but if it’s anti any-love I’ll look elsewhere… best to get on the newbern fb community page and get a feel for the people! That’s what I’m gonna do too! We are seniors considering retirement in New Bern and have been wondering if there are like minded people there. We are a heterosexual older couple but are socially liberal and lean a little left of center. We are in Bloomington IN which is a blue area in a red state, so a little apprehensive to move to another red state.

Theres some sort of detective that roams around downtown in civilian clothing scanning for people who look at particular females. As far as I've found it pertains to a fashion store. The owner once approached me and harangued me publicly saying I had been following her employee around downtown and made her cry. I reported the incident to the police as two men accompanied this store owner and said they were sherrifs but apparently of some kind of security agency not the local police or sheriff office. I've seen the man scanning the area a few times and basically it's some kind of alt rite probe into the goings on downtown in New Bern. Whats it really after? In most of these cases I've found its usually some sort of investigation into assets and anyone with enough info on the scene in a downtown area where there appears to be financial stability and cultural attachment. Whats the focus of their investigation? Most likely its to harass and obstruct freedom. Able to promote thought crimes and attach to creative venture of the mind a false sense of entitlement and framing for infringement. Basically touting the people have the right to a rite..that they have the right to be obscene and the right to be ignorantly dominant because they cannot win against stereotypical social behaviors and woes. Fraudulent celebrity and police and military mimicry. A puppet conspiracy against conspiracy and quality to combat real costs and the urgency of change necessary but too real for the area. Selling a mindscape and mindstate is a huge business in every city and town. That way we aren't able to achieve anything at all. Everything is manipulated so its all just a fabrication. Anger riots crimes goodness taste...they're all manufactured...intoxication..fabricated...it takes mind power to overcome that which effects the mind and body...and they want to secure that so as to create a kind of port system. If you tax yourself it costs someone else...if you want secrets you've got to give up something..if you want psychic freedom you've got to accept something or nothing will happen..and nothing is the worst thing that can happen to you..malevolence...fraud..a fraud that detains and weakens moral by physical resistance..impaired judgement by martial construct enforced in a redundantenvironment. The reality behind it is revealed by things like scientology. Its a anti protest demonstration inversion..I have the right to remain a void and begin and make her eat the apple and put him to sleep and disappear...thats the prompt of occurance behind it mostly..as far as I can tell..but it can also convert or morph into anarchist agenda and freedom based census protagonism..it will play host and guest and victim and prey on open minds until they close and then let them feed for equilibrium and ballast as complicit logic interruption and entertainment. Vampirical empire-schism. .

My grandson was born in Jacksonville..we camped in New Bern KOA n stayed at hotel near waterfront..beautiful place to stay.

We had a small New Bern wedding at Old Saint Paul Catholic Church in January. We used Baker's Kitchen for our rehearsal dinner, we rented both the Hanna House and the Benjamin Ellis House for our out-of-town families, Bear Town Fudge did our wedding favors, Cakes by Teesha made our cake, and our reception was at Persimmon's. All our vendors were helpful, professional and gave exceptional service and value. To us, our New Bern wedding was perfect.
