Oak Lanes is a very nice center and clean.
@Greggys10Pins4 күн бұрын
I will agree to that.
@Greggys10Pins8 күн бұрын
One thing I do like about this center is that I got a lane where there wasn't a desk shield on the pinsetter. So it was nice to see the different pin buckets.

Nice series. Good ball change!

Oh I had to, that black ball was not moving. Also the finger holes were super tight and when I had to use my thumb for spares, I was pinching the ball. The green one was a lot better but still tight on the fingers.
@dalewilliams64409 күн бұрын
Still good
@Greggys10Pins9 күн бұрын
That first game with the black ball was killer. Swore that ball had to be from the 70s. I had to wait for someone to stop using the green one so I could swipe it.

Randomly popped up in my recommendations .... why not. Nice to see that center hasn't yet been tainted by Bowlero and has the old school Brunswick look :)

Unless it have changed, I believe Westland Bowl also has the same style masking units. But, it's been a long time since I was in that center.

That last game was a doozy! Nice 9-10 conversion in the 5th (made harder due to 10 moving a smidge), beautiful trip 4-pin in the 7th, and a brutal stone 7 in the 10th.
@Greggys10Pins19 күн бұрын
Just had to thread that needle for the 9-10 split.
@DesertBowler23 күн бұрын
Nice series. What ball were you throwing for strikes? It didn’t look like your Summit Peak. Also, have you ever tried throwing your Storm Ice spare ball just like your strike ball. It may hook about 3-4 boards, but may be more consistent at release because it feels more like your strike release. Anyways, happy holidays! Love your videos! Keep them coming.

Just using a house ball. I flew so the bowling balls stay behind and only the bowling shoes come with. Hardest thing is finding a house ball that fits my hand.

Just bowled on QubicaAMF strings and basically it's about the same as in your video. When I bowled one frame, I should've had a 4-7-9 but the strings took out the 7-9. Shoudl've had a 6-7-10 on another frame but the string from the 3pin took the 10 out. Strings make sense for casuals, but the fact that the PBA/USBC is flirting with this for leagues/tournaments says they either crazy or corrupt. I lean toward the latter. The optics of the PBA using this in April on FOX/FS1 for a Made for TV event (All-Star Weekend) will be horrendous.

Canadian 5 pin bowling used strings starting in 1969, it gradually took over free fall setters like the Brunswick A51 machine which was A2 based but was modified for 5pin bowling. Other Canadian free fall setters were , Strickland corporation, Double D Ltd and I think Mendez from Quebec made a setter. Mendez was bought out by AmF and their string pinsetters resemble the Mendez model ME 90 string pinsetters

Idk if it's me but imo pin carry is a lot better on amf machines, maybe it's the pins or the sidewalls but i feel like pins fall on their own 😅. Unfortunately in my country brunswick pinsetters are not popular, it's amf or stringpins pretty much every center
@Greggys10PinsАй бұрын
I think it's because the AMF pinsetter is more open which allows the pins to bounce more. I don't know if it makes sense but I'm sticking to that.
