… So, so you think you can tell heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? … Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange a walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? … How I wish, how I wish you were here We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl Year after year Running over the same old ground, what have we found? The same old fears, wish you were here

It’s hard to judge the quality of the guitar tones through that puny little amp. I bought the same guitar in Worn Cherry color and it sounds great. I’m playing it in church with no modifications through a Vox MV50 AC.

I use that amp a lot with my other guitars so I'm used to what it does and how they compare. I guess that probably doesn't carry over to the KZbin audience. I did end up changing out the bridge pickup there and I'm pleased with the results.

Hey Moses, I'm sure you probably wouldn't remember me because it's been years, but back in around 2017 I think, my friend Ackerly and I asked you to sit with us during dinner at Camp Freedom. You shared your Greek seasoning with us that night and every campout. Since then, my troop has always kept Greek seasoning available for our meals. I even keep some in my kitchen and use it in most of my meals just because of how good it tastes and for the memories. For years, the small group of scouts our troop had at the time became obsessed with your song, and we would sing it together any chance we got. Anyway, after all these years, it's still so awesome to hear you play your music for the world to hear!

Recently acquired a solid body Cozart Strat. Decent construction, nice finish, decent fretwork. Pickups suck, controls suck, tuners suck. After considerable modification of the body cavity I dropped in a pre-wired Fender Strat pick guard loaded with vintage noiseless pickups, and replaced the tuners with Tone Ninja locking machines. Needed to change the location of several pick guard mounting screws and trim a bit of the pick guard neck cutout to mount the pick guard. The tuners were drop in direct replacements - no mods needed. Total investment of just over $400 and it's now a really good instrument. I think Cozarts are great project guitars.
@mosestalbot8 ай бұрын
I do enjoy the "project" aspect of it. I also changed out my tuners to locking tuners, and I swapped out the nut for an adjustable brass one. I put shielding tape in the cavity and much of the hum went away, but they're still single coils and not silent. The pickups have more of a "modern" sound vs "vintage" but I'm okay with that for now. I forget if I mentioned that the bridge pickup wasn't wired to a tone control at all? I fixed that too. I wonder what it is about the pickguards that they can't decide on a standard location for the screws? It shouldn't be all that difficult, since the pickguard shape is the same.

I just ordered a Cozart 12 string but it was a semi hollow Strat type. With any luck I will get it tomorrow! I hope it sounds as good as yours does! I actual think the heavy part you played on it sounded great! There is no rules in rock and roll! :).

Mine came in damaged. Had two cracks in the body near the neck. It was poorly packaged. I asked the seller for an exchange as I was happy to try another. He said the easiest thing to do is an Ebay return. It is probably just as well. The guitar had its good points but was very lightweight, felt like a toy, and was poorly made.
@mosestalbot8 ай бұрын
@@cranstonsnord4334 That's too bad. I now have two Cozarts and I don't remember either being poorly packaged. Certainly neither arrived damaged. The 12-string is a solid body, but I have a 6-string strat semi-hollow and it's sturdy enough. Yeah it's lightweight, but you'd expect that from a semi-hollow.
@cranstonsnord43348 ай бұрын
@@mosestalbot Thanks. I have looked at this guitar again and considering I paid only 140.00 for it, I am leaning towards just keeping it. The cracks near the neck are small and may just be in the finish. Either way, I do not think they will affect the stability of the guitar. As far as the weight, you are correct and I did not think of that. I was in Guitar Center yesterday and I handled a few expensive hollow and semi hollow guitars, and they were very lightweight also. It has a problem with the bridge and saddles, but I think I can fix that. It has stayed surprisingly in tune since I have had it and has no sharp frets that tear up my hand. It also looks pretty nice!

@mosestalbot8 ай бұрын
I found a cheap Alnico pickup on Amazon ($20) and put that in the bridge. Huge difference, worth every penny - to the extent that I'm wondering how much better a $120 Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio would sound. Better, I'm sure, but $100 better? I'm still pleased with the neck pickup so that's staying. I'm not sure if the tuning instability I'm experiencing is the nut or the tuners. Or maybe I just need to stop bending the strings so much!

Red would be awesome. I was looking for a Doheny for a long time because i love the pickups and electronics, but couldn't decide. I also hated the colors of the tribute series and the usa-made ones were too expensive here in europe i thought. Finally i found a tribute in a long out of stock color, it's a much more saturated lake placid kinda blue with subtle sparkles, but very matte overall. Totally love it. My favorite while searching was a Fullerton red custom that i couldn't afford to import from a ny dealer. I'm very happy with the one i got though, it's my favorite sounding and playing guitar now.
