I love the interviewer seemingly switching off listening; just after 15:00 Woody describes the positives of digital filming and talks about thousands of extras would have been needed for the beach scenes if they had shot on standard film etc and then minutes later the interviewer says 'And didn't you tell me recently that you were able to do things where you need a lot of people; a lot of extras on a beach and you can take maybe a 100 extras and make them look like 400 extras...'. He just told you about it!

I wonder if Woody has had hair transplants cause it looks like he has more hair now than he had in the late 70's.I saw Match Point a long time ago but I don't remember much about it. On the other hand , I will never forget Manhattan . I knew a girl at the time that looked just like Mariel Hemmingway in that film and I remember the night I told her that and what a disaster that night ended up being.

Woody is one of the most special directors to me. I watched so many of his movies as a child with my Dad and brother. Holds a special place for me. First as a 9 or 10 year old with Bananas and Sleeper. Now that I'm older I can appreciate his more serious, non-funny ones (Stardust Memories anyone?). He had the best casts. Would love him to write a movie about me..guess I would be a side character. I'm weird and neurotic.

Can’t say I agree with Woody’s view that popularity and artistic quality are unrelated. The greatest artists produce work that is both of the highest quality and possesses popular appeal-think Sinatra, Astaire, Ellington-in the movie world Wilder, Hitchcock, Ford, Capra. Works that are allegedly brilliant but make no impact on the public are pointless. Woody is of course also wrong about Some Like It Hot-surely one of the finest comedies ever. Great writing, great cast. And Woody’s own best film? Sleeper. It’s a flawless comedy. Everything works.

My Top 13 favorite Directors are Elia Kazan, Orson Welles, Billy Wilder, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino, Mel Brooks, Frank Capra, 70's era Francis Ford Coppola, Richard Donnor, & Stanley Kubrick to give an idea of my taste in film. But for the life of me I could never understand the appeal of Woody Allen Movies.

Why doesn't he just bankroll his own movies? His net worth is 140 million. Matchpoint cost 15 million and it made 85. Most of his movies AT LEAST break even and generally most have made some profit, just fund it yourself and avoid the hassle of dealing with bankers/crooks.
