It'd definitely a circus, and Ardbeg are treating us like we're the clowns. There is no committee version by the way. Ardbeg have scrapped them, because we were complaining about the constant barrage of gimmicky lacklustre limited releases. They clearly don't hear us at all by scrapping the higher ABV versions.

The port influence on this is minimal because they refil Glenmorangie Qunita Ruban casks with this so we are talking at best second fill, probably older. Was excited for this one but another gimmick by Ardbeg unfortunately

I'm a huge fan of this Ancnoc 18 and the 24 and I've got about 6-7 bottles of them in my collection. Such an intense and bright flavor from a relatively cheap 18 year old in today's market.

Didn't take the last sip eh? Go figure. I would like to taste that but my favorite, JW black 12, would remain, I suspect. Never had a chance to taste that. Though I've tasted much more expensive stuff, I never had the urge to pay premium for a blend with only 40% ABV.

I believe he the bell-shaped bottom of this bottle is for the European market, which uses 70 centiliter bottles. I have a US 75cl bottle in front of me right now and it is nearly flat-bottomed.

Last cruise I was on I had the highest drink package and I enjoyed many single malt scotches. I had the bartender pour this one in my glass one day and almost gagged. The drink was free and I turned it back and wouldn't finish the glass.

Bought it cos i got a thing about bottles but oh shit! What a wonderful whiskey!!!! Smooth as you like!

8 years later and this bottle is still only a $1,200 bottle. Guess the demand for peated scotches is incredibly low? Everything else seems to blow up in price. These, not so much.

Between this and glenfiddich 15, which would you recommend?

I got to admit I'm sitting on my patio drinking the same very thing that I just bought at Costco with fantastic filtered ice and it's just so funny to me. 🙄🤪 Now mind you and I can't believe it's legal to say this because it is. 🤯 I also have a nice fat Bud of fantastic marijuana that I just vaped. I just say this to tell you that my taste buds are roaring. I originally had Kirkland Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that I should have kept in the cart but I replaced it with this instead. 🙄😳 Your detailed explanation sounds like you're drinking a Coca-Cola at the coldest possible temperature on a hot day versus the reality of me drinking this and just thinking yuck!😋😁😉😇 I will say though that it definitely hits the spot way more than the Cabernet ever would have for the same amount of alcohol. 🤓 But Yuck. 🥵 Now maybe adding some Coca-Cola to it would change it entirely entirely! 🥳 Fantastic review either way.🤔🤗😇

Heya, small corredction: Thy is ronounced Thü, I've had 2 of their new releases in a tassting last week with the IB company Hogshead, who's partnered with them. Their Rye release made me think of Balcones in that it's ex bourbon and very funky and different from what you've ever had before in an interesting way. I wouldn't settle for a whole bottle tho. The sherried release was way different and quite easy drinking. Keep an eye out for them!

i was there in 2019. as a matter of fact, i have been to every distillery in Martinique, Guadeloupe and Marie Galante. they are the masters of Rum.
