Like most Canadian whiskey and liqueurs, it’s like pancake syrup. Wayyy to sweet for me

Absolutely loved this. It was one of the more sweeter single malts I have had yet. But it is only a hint of the honey, perfectly blending with other flavours. It was very very smooth and I kinda wish I could have another bottle very soon. That has happened very rarely.

Ok ..but apart from sweat on your head is it good is it worth the money ? I realise you must keep friends keep your business and hence keep quiet , but for me ..I find the so called review pretty pointless

Not worth it. You can keep your 2000 to be able to keep your home or lose your home to buy a bottle of whiskey.

This is how you drink whisky. A glass, not a French glass. You drink and not slurp milk like a child. And for rinsing teeth, this is Dentolux. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3SzpmtpgKZ6fcU

No, this is probably one of the worst ways to enjoy your whisky. Smoking a cigar and drinking whisky out of a tumbler with ice cubes.

Great review. I love your mannerisms. How would you say it compares to the Benromach 10?
@WhiskycomКүн бұрын
The AnCnoc Peated Sherry Cask is more citrusy, whereas the Benromach 10yo tends to dominate with sherry flavours. In the end, it comes down to personal preference. They are also very close in price.

Saw the Zaqupa XO in the mall earlier, it was like 500 bucks (I'm in Malaysia, so that's MYR)..if it's a caramel-laden spirit as our Sir here says, then I'll understand why the price tag on it is soooo high!

May i have a question? Im still kinda new into whisky tasting, but all those ingredients like orangers, apples, chocolate, cinnamon etc they are just remembrances of these actual fruits/spices right? Coz i never saw in the whisky making that they put real oranges and chocolates inside barrels or whatever. So how it is possible that wood itself gave these liquids such tastes. And also how can someone when making whisky control those tastes so one type of bottle taste the same over the years? Thank you!
@WhiskycomКүн бұрын
Obviously, whisky does not mature with the ingredients that are often found in the nose/taste. The flavour of whisky is the result of a combination of many different factors. The most important of these are the barley used, the stills, the maturing time and, of course, the casks used. The choice of cask is particularly important, as the flavour of the whisky will vary considerably depending on the cask used. You can read more about this on our website: www.whisky.com/flavour/where-does-the-flavour-come-from.html

Not a regular Scotch drinker, but this is my go to when in the mood for something other than bourbon or rye, very friendly for the uninitiated. Not a match for the Stilman's Dram I managed to acquire over 20 years ago (I'll never forget that bottle), but a good daily.
