This is one of your decisively brilliant, sublime, dreamy songs too. Yes, authentic & pure Celtic princess or Loreena McKennitt, as you write Sunny Zeddy. You are tops in this direction!

Came upon a child of God He was walking along the road And I asked him, "where are you going?" And this he told me... I'm going on down to yasgur's farm I'm gonna join in a rock and roll band I'm gonna camp out on the land I'm gonna get my soul free We are stardust We are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden Then can I walk beside you? I have come here to lose the smog And I feel to be a cog in something turning Well maybe it is just the time of year Or maybe it's the time of man I don't know who I am But you know life is for learning We are stardust We are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden By the time we got to woodstock We were half a million strong And everywhere there was song and celebration And I dreamed I saw the bombers Riding shotgun in the sky And they were turning into butterflies Above our nation We are stardust Billion year old carbon We are golden Caught in the devil's bargain And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden

@@Dara604 my friend is named Guillermo,,he lived up the street from me in Venice,CA, I used to walk my dogs in a dog park in front of his house, his girlfriend loved my pup's,long after she left Guillermo used to take me sailing, then one time he took me camping in the California Sierra's,he had a friend named Richard O'Connell, who Had played for Rufus, and Marvin Gaye,he had a punk band at the time, called UXA,I became a roady for the band this was in 1979,when the hardcore punk scene was going on,at one the gigs, I was introduced to Darby Crash and the Germ's,the time I spent with Guillermo was right out of a book, I was a teenager, but he treated me like an adult,he was very good to me, some of the best memories of that time was with Guillermo,it's funny I moved to Santa Cruz later in life and people would tell me that Niel Young lived in the Santa Cruz mountains, I never met the band,I just got to see the photos, and the scenes in Woodstock with Guillermo on stage, I bet Graham would smile if you mentioned his name, Peace Dara,One Love 💕

It took me a minute to remember where I'd heard that vocal technique before... where she sings WAY UP HIGH... and then waaaaay down low (at 0:44, "We are stardust... we are golden...and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden."); and then it hit me: Elton John, the song "Where to Now St. Peter" from the early 70s Tumbleweed Connection album... kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZu5ZWSiir2BodE The very first verse (at 0:15): "I took myself a blue canoe... and I floated like a leaf..." That exact same wonderfully haunting and ethereal feeling is all over this! WHAT A FANTASTIC SINGER IS CELIA PAVEY!!!

Absolutely. Its as if this song was meant for her to sing! I love Joni Mitchell, but this young ladies voice is other worldly angelic and the epitomy of feminity, which is so deeply lacking in todays time.

wow a voice I could listen to for hours, its got slight imperfections which make it so authentic and pure. Far from sounding like a big music studio recording, Celia singing is like wind over the hills or breeze through the trees. She is like a Celtic princess, a baby Loreena McKennit.
