I’m in the same suite but on Celebrity Constellation, the ships look identical, was it noisy from the pool on the next deck?

You have to consider that this ship is over 20 years old, so you will have "tired" aesthetics and hardware. We sailed on this ship over 20 years ago at that time it was cutting edge. You cannot compare the Infinity with the Edge class ships the Infinity is bound to look dated. We have sailed in the Apex, Solstice, Millenium, Constellation etc.

Have just returned from exactly the same cruise. Have nothing but praise for Virgin Cruises. All staff we came across were excellent. Everything exceeded our expectations. We will be back with another Virgin cruise very soon.

Yeah the spa wasn’t great tbh We honestly thought it would be alot blogger but sometimes you’ve got to try these things! We’re aiming to have our review out in the next few weeks ☺️

Guys my friend and agree. The area does need work. The sauna and steamrooms are good. But everything around it needs a serieus rethink.

@@SoloonaCruise We thought it deviated too far from a thermal spa experience - it really did lack traditional hot tubs and spa pools, and the changing rooms were a very odd layout.

Our VV cruise from Portsmouth was a little chaotic. I agree that the port staff need to have better training to direct everyone to the correct place.

Great vlog! Glad you guys tried Virgin - don't stop trying new lines, variety is the spice of life! It looks like a total shambles inside that terminal, makes P&O embarkation look smooth which is no easy task. Surprised at the negativity regarding service, guessing it did get better during your cruise?

Thank you both! After the issues we had intially the cruise was definitely one to remember for good reason! Virgin are doing a lot of things really well particularly when it comes to food and entertainment. We have part two coming out hopefully by the end of this week so stay tuned ☺️

@@KenGoesCruising no not this time but we will see you both on Sunday ☺️ We like to think that we were fairly balanced on the issues we had on VV, in our view a dirty cabin is unacceptable regardless of cruise line

Fab video guys! Super sorry you had that start to your voyage. Having done 4 sailings now, we’ve never had issues with cleanliness, or organisation etc so I guess that’s due to the quicker turn around time after the delay, but you’re right - it’s still not acceptable. 😢 Also it’s not usually the case that you have to watch the safety video first before booking (We never have), I’m wondering if they were encouraging people to watch the video first for your sailing so that they could get all of that ticked off and sail away earlier/lessen the delay. 🤔 Looking forward to the rest of your adventures ❤

Thank you gents! It’s one of those sadly we don’t think it was helped by the fact it was our first trying either but we always say you’ve just go to reset and have a good time! The rest of the cruise was lots of fun and certainly one to remember or not in some cases! 😂 Interesting about the safety video that does that make sense actually 👀😀

It’s one of those things sadly! When these things happen the best thing you can do is brush it off and reset ☺️ Despite the embark and cabin issues we had a fantastic cruise with friends and their are aspects that VV are doing really well

We can understand why adult only weekenders wouldn’t be for everyone! We’ve been advised that despite virgin having an adults only vibe it’s not all party party on longer sailings ☺️

Did you just slip in 4th cabin? What is thr story here after the inital cabin? It seems you did enjoy so far. It must be a complete change from Princess. I am doing it the other way around and will be on Princess next year.

@@SoloonaCruise We were reallocated two additional cabins, both of which were still dirty and poorly maintained. They deep cleaned another one before we they took us there and it was fine. We did enjoy it, but you’re right it’s very different from Princess! Which ship are you going on?

Portsmouth Port is a fab port but the staff need more training to handle large numbers and unexpected circumstances. In Miami they have clearly signposted lines, which I think would really help in Portsmouth! Vs just relying on word of mouth that changes depending on who you speak to!

@@RHSide That’s what we’ve seen with other lines, so we were quite surprised it wasn’t clearly split. This seemed to be a perfect storm of unfortunate events. It hasn’t put us off trying another one though.

Boarding was a mess as they told people to check there app for a updated time and half the peoples app ( as its so bad ) didn't change so was a mess. The experience in Portsmouth was awful tbh.

@@cruising_gaze Yes thanks, looking fwd to rest of your reviews. After day 1 it turned out to be the best one yet, wake food & service much improved, DJs much better and a windy but great Scarlett Night until someone dropped that glass in the pool 🙃. Shame no 4 day cruises from UK next year !

We were on the same cruise and first time with VV too. Loved everything apart from the bed, which was way too firm for us, didn’t realise we could have asked for a topper! Would definitely do VV again (but with a topper 😂). It was so different to any cruise we’ve done before. Scarlet night was amazing & loved the PJ party. Top class service and entertainment, loved it.

We liked the layout, it felt like you had a good amount of space to get ready and access the bathroom easily rather than fighting to get past the bed! Would you have another cabin like this or would you try another type?

Great video guys. Having returned from Resilient Lady on Tuesday, we were so impressed with Virgin Voyages, and we didn't hate the cabins as much as we thought we would. Who thought a hammock could be so comfortable 👌

I love the beds the way they are, but they’re too hard for my Husband. We asked our cabin steward for a mattress topper after overhearing someone else asking for one. It was so comfortable and I didn’t want to get out of it 😂 what was your favourite part of the trip? We had the best time as soon as we got on the ship (quickly forgot about the boarding debacle!)

We didn’t realise you could get a mattress topper, top tip there! We loved the food to honest, it was top class, the bar and food crew were great too. We always say a happy crew makes a great cruise! Would you guys do Virgin again? 🚢

How soundproofed is the cabin. Being right on top of the pool deck would be rather noisy. The cabin and balcony are amazing otherwise.

I would NEVER have that cabin. The main pool is the worst part of cruising to me. If my balcony faced the main pool I would walk off the ship.

We always say it’s down to personal preference ☺️ We spent a lot of time in the cabin and didn’t notice any noise even during the day.

That is quite honestly the most amazing balcony we have ever seen! 😮 The suite is pretty fabulous too. Many people would be happy with that as their apartment/home. All that AND a bucket of beer! Embarkation day?......they would need to send for security to physically evict us from there 😄
