When I lived in Philly , my apt on Locust was a few blocks from Fast Eddie’s building. I was friends with several skaters that hung out in Rittenhouse Square and told me about him. They would always go over there selling their socks and underwear. Of course I thought it was weird but if you’re a kid, who wouldn’t want to make quick money for selling your dirty underwear… My older self doesn’t understand how I let this go, let alone the people in his building who saw mobs of boys visiting him. And even more horrible trauma that many of my former friends have had to deal with, knowing that they were abused and in public view of adults that did NOTHING!
