I do plan on playing this game again, but I’m debating which endings to do. The endings themselves are so ambiguous, to say which is better to this day is still a controversy. So I think I wanna try to do the endings I’m most comfortable with doing, that being this one at least as the first so I can see the extra content like the love interests reactions.

It bothers me that this ending barely acknowledges EDI's death, considering she's the most developed synthetic character and one of your closest companions. Just show us Joker sad or something, idk.

My canon ending is he kept his death a secret but went back to whoever you romanced and finally settled down with them. So in my head he found Miranda and they both just finally settled down forever.

Do we know what happened after? Did he/she return to the crew? It's kinda unsatisfactory to see him/her still alive for one milisecond.

So you kill trillions of synthetics including your friends. There is no guerentee Shepard is alive with this ending, and no guerentee he’s dead with the others. Especially synthesis - if they rebuilt him before, you don’t think they can again with the knowledge of every civilization of all time? Dis be clickbait

Honestly this is the worst ending until they added the ability to make zero choice and kick the can to the next cycle.

The perfect ending is synthesis - this just pushes doomsday out another few hundred years when new synthetics rise to kill organics again.

I just finished the legendary edition but I didn't have enough war assets to get this ending and im so sad

Best Ending is synthesis. Any thing else is temporary solution.

I finished my very first play through not to long again and yes Tali is best girl. Hopefully the destroy ending with Shepard living is the canon ending so we may continue his story one last time

Been gaming my whole life but never have I been so moved by a video game ever. I was literally depressed for few weeks when I first completed the original trillogy. The game will forever be my No. 1 RPG ever created. What a masterpiece.

Wait I did get the perfect ending on my first playthrought?!… lets goooo, I knew that theres multiple endings base on your decitions and I was afraid I didn’t got the perfect one because I did all the missions (including the secondary ones) in all mass effects but turns out I got this scene… literaly I just finished the game yesterday and… man I am speechless all this time and I didn’t play this game and my brother has recomended this game since I was a kid… how I wish I have listend to him… this is one of the best game I ever played

2024... and I'm 39yo... I played only the games that have values... but this game has become my masterpiece. At 39, again. I never played it before. I got this ending. But the funny thing is my brother who just showed me only a few details about this game for a reason... My brother is not a gamer. He played much less than me but he told me this game is something else. "In another universe" in his words... He was right. Best thing was that I played with this game. Shepherd, salute!

I think none of the two endings is the perfect ending, in my opinion, the blue one is the best, but shepard dies, the red one is good too(shepard lives), but you lose all the good things that the blue ending has to offer. If there is a mass effect 4, i dont think shepard will be the protagonist, but given that the ending where shepard lives is hard to get (also the only one where he lives) its probably the canon one for ME4.

I doubt that (s)he’d be alive if they did a Mass Effect 4 because even if they’d make this the canon ending there’s no way Shepard survived that

There's no perfect endings, this series had a lot of difficult moments, a lot of tough calls, and this was the biggest.

Finally finished the trilogy a few weeks ago, chose this same ending for my mainly renegade Shepard. Was probably the best ending and I'm happy with it. Will probably go for one of the other 2 endings with my paragon FemShep next time.

I fucked Jack, Tali & Liara. Tried to get that reporter in bed but all I could get was strong maybe. Tried Traynor but she turned me down because she's a lesbo. Tried gettin' with Ashley in ME2 but didn't work. Only fell in love with Liara, though & I got the synthisis ending.

I'm torn. Ig devs will make every perfect destroy ending cannon to ME4, even those who didn't get the breathing cutscene (hopefully we still get to import our custom chatacters). But I'm officially dead. My Shep didn't make it, and that'll stick with me even if I see him again. It's bittersweet honestly. What an amazing and truly timeless experience

Dude, that is the "Destroy" ending. Though this choice would wiped out all the Reapers, it affects all synthetic lives including the Geth and EDI. If you made the Geth reconcile with the Quarians and the organics, that effort would be wasted. Also EDI, the partner who fight alongside you will die as well. That is not a perfect ending.
