You know... This could easily had a Spec-Ops: The Line-tier passive-aggresive deconstruction but with even more 4th wall breaking and the bonus of crossover elements. I can already see a moment where Pibby throws a tantrum to the camera and blaming everyone behind it (viewers, animators, EVERYONE) for her suffering and outrights breaks it.

I love this concept so fucking much, of course it was gonna be super difficult to greenlit and I wasn't very confident it would have but either way. I feel at least a little fulfilled with this. I love that it is basically a commentary on how companies now a days try to be more relatable and hip with the kids ruining what was once incredible because they think it will make their consumers happy when really it just doesn't, the exact opposite usually.

i mean, as absolutely outstanding as this concept is, i think i… kind of get why it wasn’t able to be greenlit. i can imagine a room of execs watching the animatic and being concerned about the use of things like emojis and memes teetering on copyright infringement. i’m sure a higher up more concerned with money than artistic expression thought, “this could get us sued by apple”, and no one was ever able to let that fear go. it truly does suck, though. what an incredible allegory for what it feels like to grow up, all wrapped up in a beautiful gen-z trauma bow. pibby is so likeable and you find yourself longing for her to be the victor immediately. oh poor thing

Through reddit,A co worker of dodge greenley said that copyright isn't the problem otherwise they wouldn't have released the trailer either. Recently according to a video on twitter, One of the guy who worked in Pibby said that it got squashed by the merger last year. That's all
