Black spring does not go in that easy for the layman after they've done half a million like you maybe it's easy that someone who's done it like three or four times and failed and cussed you out to no end it doesn't work that way old man

Such a clear demonstration and explanation of what you are doing with this clutch assembly. Well done. A good teacher. I know more now, thank you.

so, a harder spring is much better ???

A firmer spring will make the clutch engage at a higher RPM which may be better from a performance perspective.

Great video! I’m considering using one of these high quality clutches as part of an electric start for My Ryobi 900 Propane Generator. We add an electric start system to the 1.5HP 40cc (60-70psi of compression) and the one way bearing assembly we use is making a lot of noise. We are now considering the use of a clutch, which may be a quiet solution once the engine is running. The clutch itself would only engage when the starter motor is spun. Mounting the centrifugal clutch to the starter motor, and the clutch housing which engages upon higher rpm, to the engine flywheel assembly. It’s the opposite of how a centrifugal clutch is often applied, however may work well for our application.

I have a question, on bicycles between the gear teeth are more pedal reaches more speed. Now if I change the gear to cluch by the star that leads the spoiler bar tires and I put Star cluch to the bar this would reach more serious speed or slower. but I am new at this I just finished my courses in welding and cnc machines and have many things that come to mind and before to spoil the best parts wonder.

If the hole in the board was bigger you wouldn't have to take the gear off the drum.

I don't see why you need to screw the drum to the board. Seems like it will stay in place just fine.

In the sprocket part is the brass bushing suppose to be sticking out of the back some? Or is it flush with the front part? I took mine apart and it kinda got messed up and I think the brass bushing has moved some.
