Favourite album of all time for me. You guys should give Saviors a go, their latest release. A very eclectic mix of sounds, almost like a trip down GD memory lane

Why compare? Both are great! Both are different! Some days are bogg days. Some days are fetus days. Some days are Katy Perry PlugnB remix days. Who cares?

Nope. Dying Fetus have been around for like 30 years and have cemented themselves as brutal death metal pioneers alongside Suffocation, Cryptopsy, etc.

Have you guys even listened to chamber music? Its a dope record Tragedy, no home, notion, the whole album is sick If you'd listened to it then there's no way you'd be trashing it
@Rick-mo2zm28 күн бұрын
Absolutely, I can't stand the lead singer of Dying Fetus voice and the face he makes while "singing" I can't listen to them soley because of him.

cant even compare them cus fetus is beyond whatever they try to be 😭

Late comment, but I believe the "church"-feel you are talking about would be because Sabaton was going for an accurate portrayal of what the Swedish kings were about back in those days: Religion, Expansionism and War. King "Carolus Rex" (Karl XII) was strictly religious and demanded the same of his soldiers. Therefore, the church-feel is appropriate for the subject.

It makes me feel nostalgic (first song I ever learned on drums was “No Hope = No Fear”), and it always makes me feel like it’s summer, even if I heard it in the winter time lol…. That said, it’s pretty average.. Some good songs, but definitely some bad ones too

Love this band's entire discography. Anomalies is pretty high up ther for me but I think Lucid was the apex of their more full on Grind vibe and Xenosapian was them perfecting what they did w Anomalies. Mislead is just a continuation of Xeno imo which is fine w me. I'm constantly harassing band members ab a new album any time I have the chance to speak w one.

Y'all are weird Blast Tyrant is the best album with Beale Street next best. And Pitchfork is the heaviest. Psychic Warfare is some fine rock n roll, they don't make bad music.

I had a friend in high school who played me something from Spit, which at the time was their only album. I was listening to death metal at that point and the song didn't exactly hold my attention. The following year after we graduated I read in a magazine that Kittie released Oracle, but instinctively I didn't care to check it out and basically assumed that it was nu metal. Fast forward 20 some years I randomly heard a song from it and was blown away. Have I heard heavier by that point? Of course, but something about the band spoke to me and I ended up listening to the rest of their catalog and really enjoying it. Already saw them live twice since then and have pre-ordered the new album. I feel super lucky that just as I discovered them for myself they were coming out of a 13 year hiatus and touring again. My only regret is ignoring them in the beginning. They played Ozzfest 2000 literally 10 minutes from my house and I am forever kicking myself for not being there when the evolution into that heavy Oracle sound started to manifest.

In Utero is so much better… Nevermind is much more commercial, yes… …Nevermind sounds like it was made for a wider range of audience, a great first album - no doubt… …but the lyrics and instrumentals on In Utero are so much more mature…even elegant, perhaps. Maybe it is a generational thing. I’m a later model Xer… I absolutely would not listen to them during the mid ‘90s. I would have rather died than listen to “Radio Rock/Rap” or pop. So funny. My favorite is Unplugged… …the Bowie cover…the Leadbelly cover…sublime!

I don’t blame him, Dying fetus fell off at war of attrition , everything after that is overproduced recycled garbage with the same riffs and sounds. They’re good but they don’t need to make more music. Sanguisugabogg is a new band with a new sound.
