I used to work at Goodwill. These videos are why they keep hiking up the prices. They see how much it goes for by streamers and they make sure not to make the same mistake again. Our Goodwill has gotten out of hand with the price increases. Harley Davidson stuff at my GW cost about as much as it does new, it's insane.

@ihi5edurface that is unfortunate ☹️. The goodwill bins is another great option for when Goodwill doesn't sell the items (because high-priced items never sell in Goodwill unless it's the right buyer).

I have done the toothpaste before! Unfortunately, it was hit or miss, so I researched and bought this machine! So far, it's been pretty consistent. Sometimes, it requires multiple runs, but so far it's been great!

@@mactricelectric I've never heard of gel for disks! That sounds interesting 🤔. I honestly was freaked out by doing wet sanding on a disk. I always thought that would ruin it beyond repair! 😅

@@mactricelectric oh wow, I am going to have to try this. Sounds like maybe it fills in the gaps to be polished? Very cool! I wish there was something that could be done about dents on a disk or bubbles. I have seen some crazy damage on disks that can't be buffed out 🥲

@@bearandbison ... its a glue and it fills the scratches .... Once you've done this you wipe it carefully to remove the excess and after 10 minutes it's hard/solid and the scratches are pretty much gone

It is the same disk, you can tell by the deep scratches near the center being identical before and after.

I am typically only in there for 30 minutes and only take about 1 to 3 items every week (I typically walk out empty-handed). Still leaves thousands of items to go look at for people that thrift more than us 😊. Don't let resellers deter you from doing what you love! ❤️ God bless you!

@Mojo-pl3oj oh for sure I understand what you mean! Typically, I look up what is listed versus what has sold using eBay while in the store before investing/buying the item. From there, it's just a waiting game. I'm pretty picky about what I buy, so I tend to miss out on things. Also, you don't have to use PayPal for all platforms. Most have the option to direct deposit into your bank. Let me know if you have any questions! 😊
