I'm a Mercury News retiree, and we had a newsrack in front of the Peppermill in Sunnyvale. The place was jumping when I'd service the rack at 2:30 AM. Western Village, in Sparks NV is a Peppermill property, and I've eaten there more than a few times. Never a bad meal. They did remodel the cafe, away from the color scheme shown here. The Moco Loco looked delicious! As always...

I grew up in San Leandro, and its been decades since I've been in the Chabot area. I see I'm missing out. Another excellent vlog. And, the background music triggering copyright just shouldn't be. I get it if a creator is actively using copyrighted IP, but when its played in public, I think that should be exempted. Fremont St (Las Vegas) has the same issue for content creators.

Your EBT card will be your only source of food. So if you’re smart, you won’t argue.

I agree with you on the sides being good, especially the chips and housemade tortillas! :D But, looks like they went down to 2 lobster halves now instead of 3...also, i noticed that while one tasted fresh and had a nice snap bite to it, my other was one was kinda mushy unfortunately. Not at all what it used to be 1). Cafeteria atmosphere 2). Kids run amuck 3). Adults without manners: grazing in line, licking fingers then grabbing tongs 4). Overpriced, especially for what it is 5). Food choices don’t have proper side dishes (pasta but no sauce). 6). Hot food not hot Cold food not cold 7). Salad bar is fairly decent

My guy gonna have heart disease and or diabetes sooner than later eating like this. “Guilt free salad” covered in sweet dressing, canned syrup oranges, fried chicken, fried wantons. Then a plate of fake Alfredo pasta, fries, tenders, ranch & lord knows what else. Thinking the whole time he’s eating good & wholesome. Thinking the only thing wrong is too much fat!?! WTF?!?

For my money, the best glazed donut in the bay area. Just know that it's cash only (they have ATM machine in the shop and there's also a Chase Bank nearby), and they usually stop making fresh donuts by the early afternoon. They close around 3pm. They have two coffee offerings which are fairly good (no espresso machine).
