Ordinary people couldn't afford to live there now. I lived on nearby Walton Street in the mid-to-late '60s just before everything started to change (as it did in the St Ebbes area).

If you ever need some old photos from the late 90’s-2007 i have plenty, worked in Partymania, Daisies and Londis at the time and lived in Castle mill house as well as Walton manor. I’m sure i may have some VHS from those days too! Loved Jericho and great to see faces i still recognise all these decades later! With love from BN16 xx ❤

I studied at St. Barnabas from 1995-98. Very fond memories and this video made me super nostalgic and I can’t wait to go back visit from here in India.

It's quite beautiful and historic because of the canal apparently, I knew people that squatted the boat yard years ago, to stop it getting developed, eventually and unfortunately they lost and it was destroyed..

A distinctive part of Oxford to say the least, middle class hippy types and artists come to mind, I played with a drummer from there once too..

Grew up Jericho in the 90s racist cunts Turners and the News bunch of pussys beating up little kids. They weren’t gangs they just bullied on little kids. Grew up gave the turners a good hiding. They used to call them selves a possum 92 more like pussy 92

Wait a minute...the mixed-race guy with the large Afro from 23:40-24:00, is that not the actor Hugh Quarshie?? I think that is him as he read PPE at Christ Church, Oxford.

Respect to Oxford, the place of my birth and where I was raised, though now a Londoner. Jericho is a beautiful place, I have so many memories growing up in St Ebbes and going into Jericho as a teenager in the early '90s. Not always on the right side of the law at the time, but still very fond memories of Jericho. Big up the Jericho Posse '92!

This is an amazing peice of journalism, quite ahead of its time really in terms of style and gauging the views of the residents. Not too dissimilar to a decent modern production. Also the squatters back then are moreorless identical to the squatters tody in terms of the bohemian outlook!

Peter you did a great thing posting this. I love the voices and accents, of the presenters and the people in the film. A sudden journey back to the place I grew up. Thank you.

My old man was blown away seeing all of this again. Crazy to think that it's now swimming in money rather than flood water!
