First show I saw was in Boulder Colorado summer of 79 tour running with the devil. Rolling Stones wrote it up as the hottest indoor recorded concert in history 131° I in the front row I remember right because of the lights. Waited three days in line for those tickets and we literally knocked down the gates at the Balch field house on BOULDERS CU CAMPUS. I saw them seven rocking times in Colorado. Met Dave and Alex for autographs and they couldn’t have been nicer. Dave gave me his red leather ski glove since they were leaving Colorado and he wasn’t gonna need them anymore. I guess that’s what he said and then Alex gave me a set of drumsticks. Great times great memories!!!!!!!🥁

Seeing EVH’s hands & fingers playing guitar still gives me chills. ☮️&💜 Great version of “Panama” & WVH is a powerhouse of talent…but doing this withOUT Michael Anthony was a sin, & just imagining his harmony in this format would have made it magical-and not including him was wrong, insulting, uncalled for, & disturbing on so many levels. But that’s Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Ed and Al did not stop smiling, and Dave was feeling the spirit. All of them here were tapped into that Van Halen magic, that thing that only they hold the keys to. At the end of Panama Dave got young again for a minute. He was feeling that holy Van Halen energy like a shot of the world's best drug. God blessed these guys.

Dave will always be the best frontman for his time.

Seen them in Dayton Ohio with "Diamond Dave" 1984 and In Cincinnati, with Sammy Hager and no doubt Best band ever. Even though they dogged the fuck outta Michael Anthony, Mike's still banging at like 70 with Sammy and the Circle,bet Mike gets his cut now, the brothers were once in a lifetime performer's but asshole band mate's. All for 1 and 1 for all. My band's motto

This 16 minutes is a good throwback. Only Dave could push it all the way to 1930 but...heh...it works. Somehow they put the good energy from 1983 and bottled it. Uncorked here. Dave had this scat vocal style and ad libs that fit Eddie's staccatto style playing. Eddie goes effortlessly driving the melody and rhythm around while Dave...just clowns like he's 19 again ...catcallin' the in-betweens. Wolfgang looks happy to be 4th in on this lark. Then something happens. It becomes a historical session to answer the question, "what was VH like in 1984 @ the Monsters of Rock in Nuremberg West Germany?"

Dave was singing flat the whole time. Anybody that has a musical ear knows he wasn't staying in the key. On the other hand, Ed's playing on that acoustic guitar and being able to recreate the electric guitar sound perfectly was perfectly amazing.

Wolf seems completely disinterested. Its not hard to understand why Dave had issues with the kid.
