The black members of your congregation are bleeding. We're bleeding out and hurting and you can't even be bother to interupt your schedule to properly address it...many white members of the congregation have been great but a very large number have been, dismissive, overtly,racist, and suggested if the black people leave then perhaps COTH needed a cleansing. You gave about a total of 10 minutes to a issues that is tearing many apart and while your plans for the future forums and education are amazing and needed your immediate response makes it difficult to defend our decision to stay at the church...many of us expected to see a sense of urgency in dealing with this hurtful issue, we expected more than 10 minutes, we appreciate the letter but expected, a talk, we expected to matter...you see, for some reason we have to say black lives matter because wvwn when we're bleeding folks can't be bothered to interrupt the schedule and be sure people know there's and emergency...i intend to stay at COTH, i intend give grace and truth as we work to make this right...we're bleeding out PC and it would be amazing if you would help stop it

To really make this right, sit down and talk to us...hear our pain and hearts so you can really understand where we're coming from and why your actions hurt so much...speak to us the members, not just staff and leadership...listen to us so that we can be apart of this path forward...the same prepared statement on Saturday and Sunday then business as usual with the sermon feels extremely lacking...follow the model of Carl Lentz and Steve Furtick, they took a step in the right direction...what you did on this message and Saturdays prayer service is weak, pandering...you taught us grace and truths not let us gracefully share our truth with so you can accurately speak to and for the needs of the black congregants of this church...so PC and COTH what is your next step?

The Lord NEVER fails to deliver when I hear you guys at Church of the Highlands. The one thing that I've missed in the last few weeks is attending worship services in person. My wife and I have been going to Church of the Highlands for about a year now and we haven't met any of people there or made any connections, but I hope that will change when services resume.
