Al invented dabbing long before anyone started dabbing.

Watching him dance around so close to the edge of the pool I was totally expecting him to land in the water before the end of the song! :P

During my last breakup, I felt rather ambivalent, as you sometimes do. I wasn't quite sure how to express how I felt . . . and then I heard this song for the first time in the better part of two decades, and realized this was what I felt. Weird Al's music helped me get to grips with my relationship ending (there's a sentence I bet you weren't expecting to read today).

I saw that game on WGN and I remember it like yesterday. I NEVER saw Andre Dawson go off like the way he did against Cincinnati. He had an argument because that should've been ball four instead of strike three. Nonetheless, I'm glad the Cubs won that game 8-5!

Surprisingly, Al actually re-recorded the lead vocal for this instead of just lip-synching. I almost couldn't tell for sure, but then I noticed that his voice cracks juuust a little when saying "well" at 0:54 in the original, but not in this version.

Growing up, this game and the one when Nolan Ryan beat the crap out of Robin Ventura (after he charged the mound) were probably 2 of the most amazing moments in baseball that will never wind up on any stat sheet.
