Asalamualikum thanks for watching the video.. no it's alot longer then that I thinks it's abt 40 minutes to an hour we didn't check as we waited to take the train, please check on Google maps. Thanks

Hi thanks for watching the video.. I'm happy that it has been helpful, the station is connected to the train station it didn't take long coming out from security normal time.. only few minutes walk out of the airport.. its all signposted very clearly..thanks

From your experience did you see issues with passengers carrying 28-inch suitcases onto the train? Believe the max stipulated dimension (length) is 26" but from the video there seem to be a fair number of large-sized suitcases.

You have to be lucky to get pass with big bags. Normally there are guards at the ticket scanner and if they notice your bag is bigger then normal then they will ask you to give your bag to the porters which will ship your bag the next day to your desired location

It is very unpredictable. We were asked to check in 1 suitcase which was around 28 inches, but we saw several other folks allowed with bags that were way bigger. They not only ask for ~50 SAR to be paid (which was more than the price of the ticket) but the bag would be sent separately to the Makkah train station later on (which would mean another trip to the station to collect the suitcase). Alhamdulillah better sense prevailed and we were allowed to proceed with boarding along with the suitcase. In summary, would not recommend the train if your luggage is above the stipulated dimensions - it is simply not worth the unpredictability of dealing with the folks responsible. We did however use the train again when we traveled to Madinah and back (from Makkah) without our suitcases and it was a most enjoyable experience.

u should check the literal meaning of bid'ah . Bid'ah is any Ritual act that is not based in the Quran or sunnah, and is done as an Act of Worship of Allah. traveling by train is not a Ritual act (do something repeatedly..like doing a certain worship act everyday) maybe asking a sheikh is better so he can explain to you
