Paint paint paint paint and pull the whole thing clean. 20+ years experience. Home Depot $15 tray used it at least 100 times. Absolutely no need for anything besides a high pressure nozzle. And that’s literally just to clean the rollers and brushes. Absolutely no reason to be buying a silicone tray 😅😅

If the tank is full wouldn't that pipe be full?
@johnathon007
@johnathon007 4 күн бұрын
It has to have an overflow somewhere, probably into that perforated drain pipe next to it.
@proudpennsylvaniaman7996
@proudpennsylvaniaman7996 4 күн бұрын
@@johnathon007 yeah technically that is the overflow but the pipe on top of the tank would still be full up to that y just beyond his valve. And if he closes the valve water is going to sit behind it.

@@proudpennsylvaniaman7996 All of these tanks have an overflow near the top, in this case that would be below ground level.

I see you have no anchors to prevent being blown over or away again. I recommend an auger type mobile home anchor every 6 or 8' around the perimeter....unless you have crazy good insurance of course. In that case , who cares and never miss a payment huh? They are meant for mobiles up approximately 24" above ground, but you're smart, and I'm sure you can figure a way to make them work. The best ones accommodate 2 steel bands per anchor. One band goes over the roof, and the other to the frame.

Heat rises so it will keep itself mostly thawed and ice actually insulates better than liquid water does. But ya, probably a touch deeper wouldn't have hurt in cases of winters like we've been having where it gets -40 and lower. I'd h given it a foot of cover over the top most point and made an access port.

Please remember your tank is boyant like a boat! An empty tank will float straight up through the soil unless it is full or propely lashed down! They install massive blocks of concrete underground to bolt the tanks to.
